La oración de santa Luisa de Marillac por el P. Corpus Juan Delgado CM
La estrella de Belén en mi corazón
1.
2. The star that the wise men followed
has disappeared, but the Christmas
star in my own heart is still burning
brightly.
La estrella que siguieron los reyes
magos ya no está, pero la estrella
navideña que llevo en mi corazón
aún resplandece intensamente.
3. Joseph stands tall and steadfast. Mary's head is
bowed in humility as she reflects on the Christ Child
she has delivered. Shepherds kneel in adoration.
Three kings in fine robes approach with gifts in
hand. The donkey that Mary rode to Bethlehem
stands alongside sheep and perhaps a cow. All
attention is directed toward the tiny baby lying in a
manger. He is at the center of Christmas, yet the
scene would not be complete without each of those
other figures.
Each of us also has a role to fulfill in the scene of
life. With Christ at the center, the picture is
complete.
José aparece erguido, firme y resuelto. María inclina
la cabeza en señal de humildad, pensando en el Niño
Dios al que acaba de dar a luz. Los pastores se postran
a adorar.
4. The world is filled with the
sights of Christmas. If you
look with your outer eyes, you
will see brightly decorated
trees, tinseled stars, flaming
candles, and a crèche. If you
look with the inner eye, you
will see the star of Bethlehem
in your own heart.
El mundo bulle de escenas
navideñas. Si miras con los
ojos exteriores, verás árboles
esplendorosamente
decorados, estrellas
revestidas de oropel, velas
encendidas y pesebres. Si
miras con el ojo interior,
verás en tu corazón la estrella
de Belén.
5. Oh Christmas star, shine your light
and guide us all to the true meaning
of Christmas! Direct us to the Savior,
the Prince of Peace, that we too may
have peace in our hearts and good
will toward all men.
Estrella de Belén, alúmbranos y
guíanos para que entendamos el
verdadero sentido de la Navidad.
Condúcenos al Salvador, al Príncipe
de Paz, para que tengamos paz en
nuestro corazón y buena voluntad
para con todos los hombres.
6. Dear Jesus, the shepherds brought
their wonder and worship; the wise
men brought their gifts of gold,
frankincense, and myrrh to honor
You. I bring love and gratitude.
Jesús, los pastores te ofrecieron su
veneración y asombro. Los reyes te
honraron obsequiándote oro,
incienso y mirra. Yo te doy mi amor y
gratitud.
7. What can I give Him, as small as I
am?
If I were a shepherd, I’d give him a
lamb.
If I were a wise man, I’d do my
part.
I know what I’ll give Him; I’ll give
Him my heart.
¿Qué puedo darle, pues pequeño
soy?
Quizás un cordero, si fuera yo
pastor.
Si fuese un rey mago, oro daría
yo.
Ya sé qué daré: Le doy mi
corazón.
