1. Aprende sobre liderazgo. Asiste a un curso, lee algunos libros y estudia a los grandes líderes.
Aprende lo que los líderes hacen y no hacen. Aprende los entornos de trabajo, las herramientas
y las habilidades necesarias para liderar. Cuanto más sepas sobre un tema, incluido el
liderazgo, más confianza tendrás.
1. Conecta con otros líderes. Si bien es bueno aprender sobre el liderazgo a partir de cursos y
lecturas, poner esas ideas en práctica es difícil y se cometerán errores. Tener una red o un
grupo de apoyo de compañeros es una forma saludable de compartir desafíos comunes del
mundo real. Te dará el conocimiento de que "no soy el único que se siente así".
1. Desarrollar una autoconciencia realista. Conocer tus fortalezas de liderazgo te dará
confianza, y enfrentar sus necesidades de desarrollo lo ayudará a determinar en qué debe
concentrarse para mejorar. La retroalimentación le dará al líder una autoconciencia realista.
Además, los líderes que solicitan comentarios son vistos como más seguros que aquellos que
no lo hacen.

4. Ayuda a otros a ser más exitosos. La confianza en el liderazgo no se trata solo de construir
tu propio historial de victorias. La esencia del liderazgo es ayudar a otros a tu alrededor a ser
más exitosos. Ayuda a otros a adquirir conciencia de sí mismos, guíalos y ayúdalos a estar en la
mejor posición para tener éxito.
4. Celebra las victorias. Cuando tus compañeros de equipo o colegas alcanzan un hito o hacen
algo increíble, hazles saber a ellos, y a todos los demás. No se trata de tocar tu propia bocina,
se trata de adquirir el hábito de buscar y reconocer las victorias de los demás.
5. Muéstrate seguro. Presta atención a tu apariencia física. Perder peso, ponerte en forma, un
nuevo par de gafas, un nuevo peinado, un nuevo traje o un nuevo par de zapatos pueden hacer
que te sientas y se te vea más seguro. Observa tu postura, haz contacto visual, sonríe y usa un
agarre firme cuando dé la mano.

7. Aprende y practica psicología positiva. El optimismo y la felicidad se pueden aprender.
7. Desarrolla tu inteligencia emocional (IE). La autoconfianza es la marca de un líder
emocionalmente inteligente. IE no es algo con lo que naces; también se puede aprender y
desarrollar.
7. Proyecta confianza. Si bien puedes estar aterrorizado por dentro, aprende a "fingirlo hasta
que lo logres" aparentando estar confiado. ¿Aterrorizado de hablar en público? Haz un curso de
habilidades de presentación.

10. Pide ayuda a otros. Los líderes con autoconfianza saben lo que saben y lo que no
saben y no tienen miedo a pedir ayuda. Se basan en los talentos de los demás sin
sentirse amenazados.
10. Deja de preguntar "Mamá, ¿puedo?" y toma una decisión. Los líderes confiados
prefieren pedir perdón antes que permiso y se sienten cómodos tomando decisiones
sin tener 100 por ciento de certeza.
10. Desarrolla el sentido del humor. El humor oportuno romperá la tensión en una
situación estresante y ayudará a poner las cosas en perspectiva
