3. Bienvenidos a Palladium Hotel Group
Welcome to Palladium Hotel Group
Dear guests,
We’re really excited to share with all of you some great news
about recent and future hotel openings.
Known for innovation and pioneering hotel concepts, our urban
brand Ayre Hoteles has just inaugurated a new boutique pro-perty
in one of Madrid’s most fashionable districts. Created as
a lifestyle hotel in an original 19th century palace owned by the
Marquis de Alhama, Only YOU Hotel & Lounge Madrid is just
minutes away from many of the city’s main sites which makes it
a great base for exploring the Spanish capital. Essential to the
new hotel concept is the new lounge which will take centre sta-ge
as an adaptable “live” space for art, music and gastronomic
talent.
As you’ve noticed in the last few years, thanks to Ushuaïa Ibiza
Beach Hotel, Palladium Hotel Group has been accumulating a
lot of firsts -- the first hotel to develop a Facebook initiative where
guests could share their experiences in real time, the first hotel
worldwide to offer biometric payment, the number one Spanish
hotel company in Twitter...And now, thanks to a collaboration
with the popular brand Hard Rock International, Palladium Hotel
Group will open the first Hard Rock Hotel complex in Europe.
Scheduled for May 2014, Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza plays an impor-tant
role in our ambitious project to transform Playa d’en Bossa
in the ‘White Isle’ into one of the Mediterranean’s premier tourist
destinations.
There’s plenty more news for you to discover in our latest is-sue

siglo XIX, propiedad del Marqués de Alhama, Only YOU Hotel

disfrutar del ‘Ibiza way of life’.

Her climb to fame has not been easy, but she has taken advan-tage
of the downturns in her career to learn from each mistake
and constantly reinvent herself.
At 16 she began to do the rounds of the most exclusive clubs of
Los Angeles, so it is not surprising that she has coped with djing
in an emblematic discotheque in Ibiza. This summer she was
resident dj of the ‘Foam & Diamonds’ festival, where she expres-sed
her musical tastes and her most glamorous side.
At 20 she was already the star personality of the most exclusive
parties in the Californian capital, always with her friend Nicole
Richie, with whom years later she starred in the reality show ‘The
Simple Life’. She is still very proud of this today, in spite of ha-ving
cut all relations with Lionel Richie’s daughter.
After the scandal of her sexual video, passing through the doors
of the Lynwood women’s prison and various other adventures, it
seems that the ex-heir of the hotel empire has organised her life
and found stability, both personal and sentimental, in the com-pany
of the model of Ibizan origin, River Viiperi, with whom she
does not rule out setting up a family some time in the future.
The island has always been a very special place for Paris, and
her visits had already become a normal part of it life, although
up to now, she had not come for work but to enjoy the ‘Ibiza
lifestyle.

y ahora pincha. Es una auténtica
marca en sí misma.
She now admits that she dedicates much of her free time to
practising her gifts as dj, for she knows that practice makes per-fect,
and is prepared to repeat her Ibizan adventure in 2014,
signing up for her return to the island. Paris recognises that she
was nervous during her first session, which lasted an hour, but
that the experience was “a dream”, as she recently told the Bri-tish
OK Magazine. Her passion for music, her worship of fun, her
taste for making dreams come true and her appetite for life are
her distinguishing characteristics.
However, her first steps in music were not exactly mixing discs
but as a vocalist. In 2006, she published the album that bears
her name. Although it did not cause a great sensation, it sur-prised
the public with a daring version of Rod Stewart’s ‘Da Ya
Think I’m Sexy?’.
Paris Hilton has opened 44 shops
all over the world, has her own line
of perfumes, sings, models and is
now a dj. She’s an authentic brand
in herself.
13.
14. Although music has always been one of her major passions, you
can’t help noticing that she just can’t resist fashion. Trendsetter
per excellence, she has decided to present in Ibiza, and exclu-sively
for Europe, her bags and accessories collection. The pre-sentation
was a unique occasion for getting to know her iconic
universe and her vision of the island’s fashion and style. For as
well as the exclusive presentation of her Spring-Summer 2014
collection, through the ‘Paris Hilton Pop Up Stores’ she has laun-ched
a specially created personal niche collection: ‘The Ibiza
Line’.
Her design of bags for different times of day is inspired by the
trips and adventurous spirit that seem to carry Paris around the
world. A veritable homage to the life style of the American jet-set,
with references to red carpets and long nights of partying, mu-sic,
hedonism and happiness. Paris Hilton has opened 44 shops
all over the world, she has her own line of perfumes, sings, mo-dels
and now djs. She’s an authentic brand all on her own. A
million people follow her in the different social networks, which
she keep ¡s constantly updated. Whoever said she was just a
dumb blond was very wrong indeed.
nicho creada específicamente por ella: ‘The Ibiza Line’.

Only
Juan Serra thanked all guests and the support they have
showed in a project that “definitely helps to preserve historic he-ritage
while putting new energy into the city and raising the bar
of service and increasing the offer with a top quality product”.
His excitement was obvious when he mentioned the innovative
nature of the company, which also runs Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach
Hotel, “a true model in international hotel business”, according
to his words.
This party took place before a press presentation and before a
glamorous party that attracted dozens of celebrities and Madrid
socialites just a few days later. Juan Serra stated: “In this hotel,
our guests are the true protagonists, they are our most precious
asset, the reason and the essence of this project”. Only YOU is
a surprising lifestyle hotel, the new place to see and be seen.
Opened in early September, in only one short month this hotel
has become one of the newest hotspots in town and a favorite
for many travelers. The company has invested 20 million euros
in the restoration of this 19th century historic building. Located
in Calle Barquillo (Justicia neighborhood), Only YOU is an alive
component of one of the most avant garde and trendy areas of
Spain’s Capital.
With around 50 employees and 70 rooms, each of them with
their own unique personality, its lounge is bound to become the
center stage where all the action is happening. This space will
host photoshoots, shootings, events and live performances whi-le
offering an innovative selection of food and drinks where mu-sic

HARD ROCK CAFE IBIZA
CONCERTS AND TRASHED GUITARS WELCOME YOU TO THE NEW HARD ROCK CAFÉ IBIZA
24
atendido a 50.000 comensales y unas 20.000 hamburguesas
grupos españoles Dover y Macaco, ambos inmersos actual-mente
teatrales.
HARDROCKCAFÉ
Michael Beacham: “Ningún lugar en el
mundo como Ibiza se adapta mejor
a nuestra filosofía de tratar a cada
cliente como una estrella del rock”
Only months after its opening, after serving more than 50,000
guests and 20,000 hamburgers, the Hard Rock Café Ibiza threw
a huge inauguration party with the presence of Spanish groups
Dover and Macaco, both currently involved in successful world
tours.
The event, held on 26 September, brought together thousands of
people for a concert which stayed true to the traditional ‘guitar-smashing’,
the house brand which involves several people des-troying
guitars (already damaged, of course) to emulate iconic
bassist Paul Simonon of The Clash, who turned this gesture into
an authentic sign of identity of 1970s punk.
An event that marked the start of a winter season that promi-ses
to be full of surprises. Concerts, events and gastronomy will
come together with a collection of memorabilia specially and ex-clusively
assembled for Ibiza.
A series of Cadillacs and noisy Harley Davidsons set the tone
for the artists before the concerts started. As the first dish of
the evening Macaco, who offered two hours of music charged
with energy and dynamism, insisted on the need to place more
emphasis on “live music”. In their opinion, although the genuine
legends of music have appeared in Ibiza throughout its history,
including Bob Marley, one of their idols, “Ibiza is still associated
with djs”. Their repertoire, which drove the island public crazy,
featured live versions of Macaco classics where jumping up and
down and singing along alternated with more intimate and dra-matic
moments.

primer álbum, ‘Devil Came To Me’, el grupo madrileño regaló a
Then after the energetic public thought that they’d given their
all, the Madrid band took over the stage, led by the Llanos sis-ters,
Cristina and Amparo. Dover made sure the party went on
into the early hours. With a selection from their first album ‘Devil
Came To Me’, the Madrid group rewarded their fans with a con-cert
in which they interpreted themes from this work, published
20 years ago and which they are paying homage to in this world
tour.
And between concerts there was the traditional ‘guitar smash’,
led by Rita Guillian, official Hard Rock Café ambassador and
first waitress of the restaurant that opened in London in June
1971. Company bosses and various island celebrities set about
destroying the guitars on stage, later announcing the donation
of five Fender guitars to a musical association on the island. This
was one of the philanthropic gestures of the night which saw the
auction of a guitar signed by the two artists on stage, and part of
the takings of the food and drink bars were devoted to the world
initiative Pinktober, which combats breast cancer, along with di-fferent
not-for-profit bodies throughout the world.
The Ibiza restaurant is the firm’s fifth to open in Spain. “There
are few places in the world where we obviously had to be as ob-vious
as Ibiza. Hard Rock is a celebration of music of all kinds,
of musical heritage, of indulgence and treating every guest like
a rock star, and there’s nowhere in the world like Ibiza that better
fits our philosophy”, said Michael Beacham, Vice President for
Franchises during the event’s presentation.

“Tuve suerte.

all” (Ama a todos, sirve a todos), “Take time to be kind” (Tómate

Nuestros restaurantes trabajan con organizaciones humani-tarias,
tanto a nivel local como otras organizaciones mundiales,

“I was lucky. Sometimes life is a question of luck”, philosophises
Hamish Dodds. This Scottish accountant specialising in interna-tional
branding, licences and franchises began his working life
in Pepsi. Now, with a successful career behind him, he helps his
company to help others leave their own distinguishing mark, but
without ever betraying the philanthropic values that lie behind
this company of cafés, restaurants, hotels and casinos. “The
company’s humanitarian orientation goes back to its founders,
particularly the idea that you can do business and at the same
time contribute to society. I think our staff is so stable because
people are happy to stay in a company whose ideals are “Love
all, serve all”, “Take time to be kind” and “Save the planet”. Our
restaurants work with humanitarian organisations, both local
firms and other world organisations, and this forms part of our
essence”, says Dodds.

“I think it’s great to be able to open a Hard Rock Hotel in Ibiza
and to have had the chance to open up a Hard Rock Café. It’s
a very good move and we’re extremely pleased. We’ve spent
ages searching for markets in Europe but Ibiza is the logical
place for us to be. But I have to admit that the seasonal nature of
Ibiza’s tourism had us worried, because we like our restaurants
to be open all year, and this is why we feel this location is perfect
for reducing this handicap as much as possible. It’s a challenge.
The expansion here on the island of our first European hotel is in-timately
linked with meeting the Matutes family and recognising
their professionalism in the hotel and restaurant sectors. They
understand our company and we believe it’s a fine collabora-tion
because they know how to manage the seasons in island
tourism and their customer profile is very easy to adapt to our
own. Here, we’re hoping that the island’s economy will see the
benefits, with more work and more fun. We’re thrilled”, said the
president of Hard Rock International, who trusts that the com-mercial
Project planned for the area where the hotel will be loca-ted
makes it possible for it to remain open all year.
He states that if this was his first holiday in Ibiza he’d surely love
to see one of the great djs in action, but for rock ‘n’ roll he’d opt
for Imagine Dragons. This Las Vegas band won Dodds over with
its catchy lyrics, its young, fresh style and a very authentic pre-sentation
of its music. Its hit single ‘Radioactive’, whose chorus
he knows by heart, has persuaded him that “perhaps we’ll try
to bring Imagine Dragons over to Ibiza”. “If I can’t get Imagine
Dragons, I’ll go for The Killers, one of my favourite bands”, says
Dodds.
“quizás intentamos traer a Imagine Dragons a Ibiza”. “Si no pu-diera

¡Suena prometedor!
In collaboration with the Empresas Matutes group, Ibiza Hard
Rock International under its president Hamish Dodds will opt
in Ibiza for a line that offers experiences way beyond a simple
choice of hotel accommodation. As Abel Matutes Prats explai-ned
in his presentation at the inaugural party for the new Hard
Rock Cafe Ibiza. “We want our guests staying here to enjoy our
programme of weekly rock concerts for up to 2,000 people”,
said the Ibiza businessman, who plans to open the hotel in June
2014.
In spite of the mystery that still surrounds the project, the Hard
Rock Hotel promises to be one of the most spectacular on the
island. In a bid to cater for both the young and family publics,
the firm has decided to combine a rock’n’roll life style with Me-diterranean
touches. Opting for frequent concerts held on stage
in the hotel itself, music will be one of its main distinguishing
features.
Matutes also announced that four large-scale events will be
scheduled throughout the year at the nearby Ushuaïa Ibiza
Beach Hotel, with the unbeatable Hard Rock signature and hos-ting
major artists. You may find it hard to imagine, but during
the last year alone, this brand with its hotels, casinos and res-taurants
has programmed around 20,000 live acts and that the
Ibiza brand is a big draw for major international artists beyond
the world of electronic sound. And although the musical agenda
has not yet been confirmed, the Hard Rock Hotel assures us
that it will be very special and anything but ordinary. Sounds
promising!

a Ibiza.
esperamos poder traer aquí a grandes grupos”. Dodds recalca
“Not only are we committed to filling our walls with incompara-ble

of the cafe franchises, during his visit to Ibiza.

Hamish Dodds, its President, is thrilled about the idea of set-ting

Ground-breaking Surface tablets, Xbox 360 Kinect consoles, vi-deochats,
screens to share the experience on the social media
and other technologies let guests at the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach
Hotel enjoy a totally interactive stay. These products were pre-sented
recently by the giant Microsoft, and are available in some
Ushuaïa suites. All 85 suites in Ushuaïa Tower and several points
of hotel reception have Kinect, a system of infrared detection
that connects to the Xbox 360 console operating system. It also
allows guests to stream their favourite music, watch films in HD
and play the latest video games. But the most innovative aspect
of this interactive experience is the option of video chatting with
other rooms and starting to socialise, a concept that works well
with the party style of Ushuaïa’s flagship property.

Guests who choose Ushuaïa know that they have at their dispo-sal
the PixelSense touch screens in reception, where they can
catch up with the latest news and events, share their stay on the
Internet while enjoying a cocktail, and soak up the hotel’s festive
atmosphere. This combination of infinite possibilities has made
Ushuaïa one of the world leaders in technological hotels.
This season, the hotel has introduced its pioneering biometric
experience, which lets visitors share their experience in Face-book
using only their finger prints, thanks to PayTouch techno-logy,
which is also used to pay for all kinds of services in the
hotel using only a finger. The hotel has also developed its own
Facebook game for becoming a dj, in which fans of Ushuaïa’s
daily parties can become real djs, mixing songs and winning a
range of prizes.
But this is not the end of your technological experience. The ho-tel
App means you don’t just stay updated with the hotel’s latest
news and events, you interact with other guests and party-goers
and receive special offers through push messages.
Another new initiative in Ushuaïa is the Palladium Hotel Group/
Clic2c technology, which reads invisible water marks and turns
offline material into virtual experiences, as on The Ushuaïa
Tower’s interactive floor, which transforms the elevator area into
a dynamic fun spot.
In the realms of the social media, Ushuaïa has set new stan-dards
for the hotel industry. At the end of the 2011 season, the
hotel’s Facebook had close to 70,000 fans. Two years later it
has already gone over the 300,000 mark. On Twitter it has over
76,000 followers, making it the leading Spanish hotel in the
platform’s companies ranking.

image has also already earned him several succulent adverti-sing

starred in last year’s autumn campaign. Also with his collabora-tion
with the American ‘preppy’ clothing brand he starred in the
videoclip of the Silhouettes theme, included on his first album,
‘True’, published last September.
He has been top of the bill of Sundays in the Ushuaïa Ibiza

of the first names announced for the line-up this summer, next to
French phenomenon David Guetta. His consolidation as a lea-ding
light in electronic music and his ability to move the public
has been confirmed for one more season with a full house in all
of his acts, including guest artists of the standing of Fedde Le-
Grand, Martini Solveig, Steve Aoki and Benny Benassy, among
others.
His career is a clear example of the evolution of the electronic
music industry, which no longer needs top-selling discs in phy-sical
format to crown its artists, but is based on plays on Spotify,
MySpace and YouTube, hype in general and his following in the

Estados Unidos, Suiza, Italia, Alemania, Holanda o Reino Unido,
For over 130 years the Marí Mayans family has been deeply
engaged in researching aromatic plants and the preparation of
flavoursome and top quality liqueurs.
Their liqueurs are the result of numerous trials and studies, pas-sed
from generation to generation, and always using ancient
craft techniques, the unmistakable seal of tradition and quality.
The processes for the preparation of these liqueurs include disti-llation,
boiling, infusion and maceration. The drinks obtained are
the optimum combination of aromatic plants distilled in a copper
still, drop by drop, giving them all the care, selection and atten-tion
that each of the constituent plants merits.
Marí Mayans Family produce many drinks, among the most
spectacular specialities like Hierbas Ibicencas (Ibizan herbs)
(with sprigs, without sprigs or in a delicious cream), thyme, qui-nine
and absinthe. The characteristic of this family company is
its constant research to improve the quality of its products and
for launching new drinks concepts on the market, always see-king
proven quality and excellent aroma, texture and flavour.
The original Hierbas Ibicencas recipe is enjoying an extraordi-nary
reception throughout the world, with a spectacular growth
in the clubs, discotheques and restaurants of prestige in the
United States, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and
the United Kingdom, where the consumption of the Ibizan herbs
of the Marí Mayans family is now de rigueur, either in an iced
liqueur glass or a short beaker, in a mixed drink or with ice.

“Hay que tener paciencia y no parar,

You must have patience and never
stop, feel alive and look forwards.

But his most famous facet is related to superhuman challenges.
He can swim 10 kilometres in the open sea then get on a bike
and cover 145 kilometres more. Next morning, another 276 kilo-metres
by bike and to finish off the challenge, two consecutive
marathons, that is, 84 kilometres running to exhaustion. Desert
marathon runner, “ironman”, Titan of extreme trials, he can do
1,400 kilometres on a mountain bike in Mongolia, 300 kilometres

His life is lived between his computer, stock market indicators

His humility and simplicity in dialogue contrast with his skin,
tattooed almost to the limit, a map that reflects his battle through
dozens of trials in which only supermen could compete. His
most important tattoo is the name of his daughter, Morgana, as
well as one on his left shoulder that with its three faces bears
the symbol of the infinite “because nothing is impossible” a spi-ral
“which stands for non-conformance”, and a question mark
“which means the search for the surprises of life”.
His latest media challenge is to help slim down the obese peo-ple
who take part in the programme “Open Your Eyes”, broad-cast
on Saturdays on the Tele 5 channel in prime time. He com-bines
his new facet of television celebrity with constant training
and giving classes on the stock exchange and self-help that he

márketing (gestionando su marca, “Where is the limit?”), tengo
“You also have to have a lot
of resistance when the pressure
rises in the stock exchange”
What has been the hardest test in your life?
The hardest test is to be a separated father. At first you’re afraid
that your daughter won’t recognise you as her father. Otherwise,
physically, the marathon is very hard in the sands of the desert,
or the Ultraman sea trials (an exhausting combination of resis-tance
with swimming, cycling and marathon races). Fundamen-tally,
you also have to have a lot of resistance when the pressure
rises in the stock exchange. I’ve experienced some very tough
years, but now I’m much more settled because I’ve learned to
delegate.
I suppose you have a great team?
I began alone and devoted all my time to the stock exchange for
14 years, but now, it’s true, I have a good team. There’s 15 of us,
it’s like an SME. Some look after the communications and mar-keting
(handling his brand, “Where is the Limit?”), I have several
assistants for the media and management, and others for the
sporting area, trainer, nutritionist, etc.
A good team is the key to success?
I have lot of skill at detecting economic and emotional talent. I’d
be a great Human Resources manager, and I get sent hundreds
and hundreds of CVs by young people who want to work with
me, even paying for the privilege!
PALLADIUM MAGAZINE 57
final siempre me hago alguno…
Hubiera dado mucha confianza. Puede
que haya influido el dopaje, el desempleo. El COI castigó tam-bién
la austeridad.
Is it true that the world is governed by the financial markets?
The markets do govern the world, but the markets are all of us,
because we all have a bank account and we don’t know what
they do with our money, how it’s moved and where it goes. I be-lieve
in the markets, but anyone who hates them should not have
a euro in a bank. I agree with the famous saying of Professor
Niño Becerra (Professor of Economic Structure), when he stated
that “in Spain, it’s more important to save Bankia than to pay a
replacement joint of an elderly person”.
Do you think that we’re really starting to see the end of the recession?
Yes. Months ago I maintained that the crisis had already rea-ched
bottom, and there are very sound data that prove this. The
wage adjustment has been very heavy, and I’m not optimistic,
but I am realistic. In July 2010, the stock exchange index was at
6,000 and today it’s 10,000. The stock exchange tells you almost
everything, it anticipates the movements that are going to hap-pen
in the next six or nine months.
Would you give any advice to the President of the Government?
Everyone’s depressed. Depression is spreading on the right and
left. I believe that a President can never be good until he earns
10 million euros a year. That’s the only way we can get a good
President, a great talent that it’s worth paying for among us all.
We can’t ask more from the present President: we can’t ask more
from a person who earns 100,000 euros a year.
And advice for a young entrepreneur?
To be very persevering in his or her wishes. Your dream will
come true. You must have patience and never stop, feel alive
and look forwards.
Your next challenge?
The Red Bull 7 Islands trial. It’s held in the Canary Islands, on
each island, and in all there are 26 kilometres of swimming,
1,260 kilometres by bike and 294 running, for a whole week.
And your next tattoo?
I don’t know yet. I always say that I’m not going to have any
more, and in the end I always do…
What a pity about Madrid 2020!
It was a blow. Olympianism must also be about helping coun-tries,
and Spain needed that help as an economic and emotional
shock. It would have brought a lot of confidence. It might have
been influenced by doping, unemployment. The IOC also pu-nished
austerity.

63. Kitesurfing (also known as kiteboarding and sometimes flysur-fing)
is a sport that involves the use of a kite to draw the kiter
along through 4 or 5 cords or lines attached to the body by a

as a surfboard or wakeboard. You can practise several kinds:
jumps and manoeuvres (freestyle), swerving between buoys or
surfing on waves.
practicar varias modalidades: saltos y maniobras (freestyle), re-gatas
entre boyas y surf en olas.

It is essential to be trained in and familiar with the technique
before you try to fly over the sea. As its name indicates, kitesur-fing
combines the sports of surfing and sailing and it’s the latest
passion of sea lovers addicted to adrenaline. But you should
never forget that it remains a sport of risk.
Although kitesurfing, which has spread along the beaches of all
five continents with schools in many tourism areas, is a recent
craze, from ancient times the Chinese and Indonesians have
used kites for powering small boats. But it was only in 1977 that
pioneer kitesurfer, Dutchman Gijsbertus A. Panhuise, patented a
system of navigation on a surfboard drawn by a kind of parachu-te,
making him the father of this sport, which has literally taken
off during the last five years.
In Indonesia, kitesurfing is both culture and art, with many varied
and striking designs. The biggest star amongst Spanish prac-titioners
is young Gisela Pulido, who at only 12 became world
champion in the women’s Kiteboard Pro World Tour.
The key to this sport lies in control of the sail, so it is advisable to
start training on sand until you learn the tricks of manoeuvre and
control. Success at kitesurfing depends to a large extent on the
physical condition of its practitioners, who must work hard on
their abdominal, back, hip and pelvic muscles. They also need
a good sense of balance, a basic element in staying upright and
turning on the board. Kitesurfing can be an exhausting sport,
particularly at first, since your muscles are constantly engaged.
You can exercise and get in shape by swimming, cycling or
running. Training reduces the risk of injury and increases your
enjoyment.
However, safety comes first, so you must get used to studying
weather forecasts and understanding the wind and sea condi-tions.
In particular, kitesurfers must learn how to get free from the
safety system quickly in emergencies. Other wise precautions
are the use of a life jacket and helmet. Once you’ve got over the
physical and technical trials, there are few emotions as exhilara-ting
as flying over the sea.

CARIBBEAN WEDDINGS
DREAMS OF ETERNAL LOVE
The secrets of ‘wedding planner’ Karen
Bussen for an unforgettable wedding
There are some important days in people’s lives when everything
must go well and according to plan. Details must be followed to
the letter to ensure there are no last-minute upsets. One of these
days is your wedding. At that time, which many people have
been dreaming of all their lives, nothing must be allowed to go
wrong. The people who make sure everything goes perfectly are
known as ‘wedding planners’. Among the most prestigious in the
world is Karen Bussen, who since 2010 has collaborated with
the Palladium Hotel Group (www.palladiumweddings.com) at
their Caribbean destinations to help couples make the happiest
day of their lives completely unforgettable.
Is there anything more romantic that saying “I will” or celebrating
your wedding anniversary to the sound of waves breaking on
the fine white sands of the Caribbean Sea? There is a range of
programmes, both civil and religious, depending on the destina-tion,
so you can personalise everything down to the last detail,
according to the taste and personality of each couple. From the
predominant colour pallet down to the composition of the floral
creations, everything is done to make sure the couple are the
starts of their day. Packages also include all the legal formalities,
so that both the couple and their guests can concentrate exclu-sively
on enjoying some marvellous days.
Forget the idea that your wedding begins and ends on the day
of the ceremony. This is old fashioned thinking: nowadays you
can plan everything from the pre-wedding to ‘tea parties’ for the
girls and the ‘groom’s lounge’ for the boyfriend and his best ma-tes
the day before the ceremony. The choice of experiences is
immense, and you can even throw an after-wedding party on a
private beach. Although combinations are endless, all are cha-racterised
by their elegance, good taste, and the maxim that this
day can be simple and marvellous at the same time.

seeking an exotic yet romantic hideaway. Also, it is the first ho-tel
in Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit boasting its own Catholic chapel.
This charming colonial-style chapel, Our Lady of the Snows, be-comes
the perfect sceneries for couples who don’t want to sa-crifice
the religious element of the ceremony in this special day.
Its opening took place last October, when Tepic’s Bishop Mon-signor
Luis Artemio Flores Calzada, conducted its Dedication
Mass. This first mass also attracted many priests from Tepic’s
Parish, where this chapel belongs. This chapel will now host all
sorts of Catholic ceremonies such as weddings, baptisms, silver
wedding anniversaries and so on.

The cigar combines all four elements
–fire, earth, water and air- in its
spirals of sacred smoke
The more we advance in civilisation, the more voluptuous cultu-re
has become. People who love pleasure love life, the opposite
of those warlike (boring) heavies and puritans. The cigar brings
with it philosophy of life which has charmed personalities of
every kind throughout history. Smoking is an individualist plea-sure
that inspires fraternal feelings, helps reflection and day-dreaming,
and is an essential diversion of the bon viveur.
