2. DEFINICIONES
Convergencia
• Deriva del latín convergens o
convergentis
• Con – Unión, Vergente –
inclinarse
• Unión en un punto de varias
líneas o trayectorias
• Unión de dos o mas líneas
que fluyen hacia un mismo
punto
3. DEFINICIONES
Divergencia
• Deriva del latín divergens
o divergentis
• Di – separación multiple,
Vergente – inclinarse
• Alejamiento paulatino de
dos o mas líneas o
trayectorias
4. CLASIFICACIÓN
Se dividen en convergencias o divergencias
•Horizontales
•Verticales
En atomía dental las clasificaremos en convergencia o
divergencia:
•Caras libres
•Caras proximales
6. CONVERGENCIA Y DIVERGENCIA
EN CARAS LIBRES - VERTICALES
Bucal, Lingual o
palatino
Convergen hacia
incisal y oclusal
Divergen hacia
cervical
7. CONVERGENCIA Y DIVERGENCIA
EN CARAS LIBRES - HORIZONTAL
•Bucal, Lingual o palatino
•Convergen hacia Distal
•Divergen hacia Mesial
•Es mas acentuada en caninos
•En premolares existe poca convergencia por
lo tanto se torna difícil identificarlo
•La medida mesial siempre es mayor que la
distal
8. CONVERGENCIA Y DIVERGENCIA
EN CARAS PROXIMALES -
VERTICAL
Mesial y distal
Convergen hacia cervical
Divergen hacia incisal u
oclusal
9. CONVERGENCIA Y DIVERGENCIA
EN CARAS PROXIMALES -
HORIZONTAL
Mesial y distal
Convergen hacia lingual o palatino
Divergen hacia vestibular
Excepción en 1er. molar permanente superior y 2do. Molar superior deciduo, son mayores en base lingual mas que vistibular.
10. CONVERGENCIA Y DIVERGENCIA
EN CARAS PROXIMALES -
HORIZONTAL
Mesial y distal
Convergen hacia lingual o palatino
Divergen hacia vestibular
Excepción en 1er. molar permanente superior
y 2do. Molar superior deciduo, son mayores
en base lingual mas que vistibular.
