El imperfecto tiene dos conjunciones regulares (-aba para verbos -ar y -ía para verbos -er/-ir) y tres verbos irregulares (ser, ver, ir). Se usa el imperfecto para describir hábitos, personas, horas y edades en el pasado, y la palabra "mientras" puede usarse con el imperfecto para indicar dos acciones simultáneas.
