2. Tarea I: búsqueda en Pubmed de “Lavado de
manos en estudiantes de enfermería”.
En primer lugar, abrimos la página de inicio de PubMed. Tenemos este acceso
en la página de la biblioteca de la Universidad de Sevilla, en la parte de
Imprescindibles. http://bib.us.es/salud/
3. Una vez que estamos en la página principal de Pubmed, iniciamos nuestra
estrategia de búsqueda, que debe ser en inglés, por eso recurrimos a los
descriptores que podemos encontrar también en la página de la biblioteca.

5. Repetimos el mismo proceso con el resto de lo que queremos buscar y al final
obtenemos nuestra estrategia de búsqueda, que sería:

6. A continuación, ponemos los filtros. En este caso debemos acotar la búsqueda
a los artículos publicados en los últimos 5 años.
7. El siguiente paso es seleccionar los artículos encontrados y mandarlos a una
carpeta para guardarlos.
8. Para hacer la bibliografía en formato Vancouver, mandamos los artículos previamente guardados al
programa Mendeley. En este programa realizamos la bibliografía siguiendo los pasos explicados en el
seminario anterior.

Italian nursing and medical students.
RESUMEN.
Este artículo trata sobre las creencias y conocimientos que tienen los
estudiantes italianos sobre el lavado de manos.
INTRODUCCIÓN.
La introducción da a conocer que los problemas nosocomiales aumentan
con la mala higiene por parte del profesional sanitario. Además, refiere
el gran número de muertes evitables que ocurren por esta causa. El
artículo muestra también el deficit de higiene presente entre los
enfermeros italianos, por lo que aumentan los contagios. El estudio tiene
como objetivo comprobar los niveles de información sobre la higiene del
personal sanitario e incrementar la práctica de medidas higiénicas.
16. MATERIAL Y MÉTODOS.
En el estudio se facilitó un cuestionario a una muestra de 117 ancianos y
119 estudiantes de medicina en la universidad de Roma, Italia, para
determinar sus conocimientos sobre la higiene de las manos, las
creencias y prácticas. Los datos fueron recolectados entre los años 2007-
2008.
RESULTADOS.
En el estudio se observó que el desconocimiento sobre la higiene y la
desinfección de manos es mucho mayor entre los estudiantes de
medicina que entre los de enfermería, si bien, en ambos casos la
información y el conocimiento son muy escasos, sobretodo en lo que
acontece a la desinfección con alcohol. En cambio, tanto los estudiantes
de medicina como los de enfermería tienen creencias parecidas.
17. DISCUSIÓN.
Como conclusión, se comprueba que es necesario aumentar
el grado de conocimiento sobre higiene de manos de los
estudiantes. Además, también sería importante advertir
sobre los beneficios de la desinfección con alcohol. Sería
aconsejable que en las universidades se impartiesen clases
sobre cómo lavarse bien las manos, ya que esto podría evitar
muchas infecciones futuras y las personas tendrían muchas
enfermedades.
