INTRODUCCIÓN
Una condicional es una
oración o parte de una
oración que expresa una
condición. Esta puede ser a
través de estructuras que se
utilizan para hablar de
situaciones que pueden ser
reales o irreales.
Una condición es lo que
debe ocurrir antes de que
pueda ocurrir otra cosa.

ORACIONES
CONDICIONALES
Representan escenarios hipotéticos donde
una oración subordinada señala una
condición necesaria para el cumplimiento
de lo expresado en la oración principal.
Comienzan por las conjunciones si. En
inglés hay tres tipos de condicionales:
primer condicional, segundo condicional,
tercer condicional
4. 4
CONDITIONAL
SENTENCES
They are known in English as clauses if,
conditional clauses or conditional clauses.
Representation of the hypothetical scenarios
where a subordinate sentence indicates a
condition for compliance with what is
expressed in the main clause. They start with
the conjunctions yes. In English there are three
types of conditional: first conditional, second
conditional, third conditional
5. 5
El Primer
Condicional
CONDICIONAL POSIBLE
6. 6
El first
conditional
POSSIBLE CONDITION
When to use it and how?
• it is used to talk about an action that could
take place in the circumstances in the
present or in the future. It is also known as
real conditional because it points to a
realistic possibility that something will
happen. The structure of the first
conditional follows the following pattern:
If + Present simple + future simple
(will/won't)
7. 7
El first
conditional
If + Present simple + future simple
EJEMPLOS (EXAMPLE):
• If you practice soccer, you will go to the final
(si practicas futbol, pasaras a la final)
• If he take a shower in the night he will get sick
• If you kiss me you will fall in love
(si me besas te enamorarás)
• If you drink coffe you will not sleep
(si tomas café no dormirás)
8. 8
CONDICIONAL IMPROBABLE
¿Cuándo utilizarlo y cómo?
• Se denomina también condicional irreal,
pues señala un escenario presente o
futuro que es improbable que se dé. La
estructura del segundo condicional sigue
el patrón siguiente:
El Segundo
Condicional
si + tiempo pasado + sería o podría + infinitivo
9. 9
IMPROBABLE CONDITION
When to use it and how?
• It is also called unreal conditional, it is
unlikely that it is given. The structure of
the second conditional follows the
following pattern:
El second
conditional
if + past simple, would/wouldn't + infinitivo
10. 10
EJEMPLOS (EXAMPLE):
• If she loved you, she would give you love
(si ella te amara, te daría amor)
•If I studied English, I would pass my exam
(Si estudiara inglés, aprobaria mi examen)
• If I had time, I would help you.
(Si tuviera tiempo, te ayudaría)
El second
conditional
if + past simple, would/wouldn't + infinitivo
11. 11
Tercer
Condicional
CONDICIONAL IMPOSIBLE
tiempo. La estructura del tercer condicional
sigue el patrón siguiente:
si + pasado perfecto + tendría + participio
pasado
12. 12
Third
conditional
IMPOSSIBLE CONDITION
When to use it and how?
• it is used to talk about past scenarios and
the result in the same place. Express,
therefore, a condition impossible to meet,
because you can not go back in time. The
structure of the third state follows the
following pattern:
if + past perfect, would have + past
participle
13. 13
Third
conditional
EJEMPLOS (EXAMPLE):
• If I had eaten enough, I would have
gotten fat
(si yo hubiera comido bastante, me
habría puesto gordo)
• If he had trained a lot, he would
have been the best in the world
(si él hubiera entrenado mucho, habría
sido el mejor del mundo)
• If I had graduated, I would have
worked abroad
(si yo me hubiera graduado, habría
trabajado en el extranjero)
if + past perfect, would have + past participle
14. 14
Ejemplo:
• If I have time, I will help you. (Si tengo tiempo, te ayudaré)
• If I had time, I would help you. (Si tuviera tiempo, te ayudaría)
• If I had had time, I would have help you.
(Si hubiera tenido tiempo, te habría ayudado)
15. 15
The conditionals are always composed of two
propositions: one that presents the hypothetical scenario
and that begins with if, and another proposition that
indicates the result of the fulfillment of this hypothetical
condition.
If the condition precedes the result, then the two
statements are separated by a comma. Example:
• If I have time, I will help you. (Si tengo tiempo, te ayudaré)
• If I had time, I would help you. (Si tuviera tiempo, te ayudaría)
• If I had had time, I would have help you.
(Si hubiera tenido tiempo, te habría ayudado)
16. 16
Ejemplo:
• I will help you if I have time.
(Te ayudaré si tengo tiempo)
• I would help you if I had time.
(Te ayudaría si tuviera tiempo)
• I would have helped you if I had had time.
(Te hubiera ayudado si hubiera tenido tiempo.)
17. 17
If the result precedes the condition, then the statements
are not separated by any commas.
Ejemplo:
• I will help you if I have time.
(Te ayudaré si tengo tiempo)
• I would help you if I had time.
(Te ayudaría si tuviera tiempo)
• I would have helped you if I had had time.
(Te hubiera ayudado si hubiera tenido tiempo.)

CONCLUSIÓN
En conclusión los condicionales son
ciertas estructuras del inglés en las cuales,
si cierta condición, situación o
circunstancia es verdadera, entonces
sucede un resultado específico.
