30. Nicola De Luca, nació en 1953, en Torre di Ruggiero (Italia), donde vive y trabaja. Emprendió en los años 60 los
estudios de arte en la Escuela de Arte de Reggio Calabria. En el 72, después de terminar la escuela
secundaria, se trasladó a Nápoles ingresando en la Facultad de Arquitectura. Se interesó primero en la
fotografía como una simple referencia a sus personajes dibujados y luego como un lenguaje en sí mismo,
prefiriendo el blanco y negro, el desarrollo personal y la impresión. Más tarde el contacto con la fotografía
resultó importante para su desarrollo artístico. En 1980, después de graduarse, abandonó la ciudad donde
obtuvo su formación y finalmente de volvió a su ciudad natal. Desde entonces el ejerce la profesión de
arquitecto unido a una intensa producción de dibujo figurativo y pintura.
