 Drop the “s” from the 2nd person verb.
 Substitues the direct object with the pronoun
“lo”
 Add an accent to the “antepenúltima” (3rd to
last syllable)
 Comes la hamburguesa.  Cómelo.
 ¡Compras la camiseta!  ¡Cómpralo!

 Change the verb to the 1st person singular form
 Comprar  Compro
 Change the last letter to the opposite vowel (-ar
verbs  -e, -er/-ir verbs  -a)
 Compro  Compre
 Add an “s” to the end of the word.
 Compre  Compres
 Add a “no” in front and substitute any objects
with a “lo” after the “no.”
 Comprar la camiseta  No lo compres.
