3. INTRODUCCIÓN
Todo cuerpo extraño del oído debe ser extraído
desde que su presencia es diagnosticada. No hay
en esta regla ninguna excepción...“ (Moure, 1922)
La mayor frecuencia de estos accidentes, se concentró
entre los 5 y 11 años de vida y entre el primer año y
los 4. La mayor frecuencia correspondió a los cuerpos
inorgánicos y en especial a los materiales escolares y
de juegos, en presencia de adultos, con una
localización mayormente, en oído (Diaz Estevez, 2015)
3 técnicas principales:
a) Extraccion directa y/o succión
b) Irrigacion
c) Uso de Pegamento cianoacrílico

4. Para el medico no tiene importancia el hecho que un cuerpo
extraño del conducto haya sido introducido accidental o
intencionalmente, si que le interesa sabor:
1) Si el cuerpo extraño existe realmente
2) Si es inerte o animado.
3) Su situación y tamaño
4) Su forma y consistencia.
5) Si es libre o enclavado; lesionando la membrana, el
conducto, o ambos a la vez.
6) En fin, las condiciones del enfermo permiten o exigen su
extracción inmediata, por las vías naturales o requiriendo
ampliación por medios quirúrgicos
¡OJO! La extracción mas urgente es la de una pila alcalina debido al daño tan
extenso y potencialmente severo que ocasiona en un breve periodo de
tiempo

no presenten bordes afilados o se
encuentren enclavados en el CAE o

que no ceden con la irrigación o
restos de cerumen impactado
Como método antiguo y reservado
exclusivamente para cuerpos
extraños y cerumen impactado de
muy larga data (negruzco)
