ADVERBIOSDE FRECUENCIA/GRADO.Van antesdel verboprincipal si el tiempoes
simple.Si es compuesto,irándespuésdel primerverboauxiliar.CON ELVERBO TO BE, se
ponendespuésde éste.
FRECUENCIA (always,sometimes,often,generally,habitually,hardly(ever),seldom,
rarely,never…)
I often play tennis on Sunday.
I had never been robbed before.
She is sometimes depressed.
She can never remember the names of her children.
GRADO (nearly,hardly,scarcely…)
People hardly ever go to cinema in my town.
ADVERBIOSDE MODO, LUGAR Y TIEMPO. Nosiguenreglasabsolutas;sinembargo,en
general,mantienenel ordensiguiente:MODO+LUGAR+TIEMPO.*Recuerdala palabra MaLeTa.
Los adverbiosde modo,tiempoylugarpuedenapareceral principiode laoración
cuandose lesquiere darénfasis.Eneste caso,iránseparadosdel restode laoracióncon una
coma.
PROBABLY. En lasoracionesafirmativas,sigue lamismareglaque losdemásadverbios
(se colocadespuésdel primerverboauxiliar) perovaantesdel verbosi laoraciónes negativa.
He’ll probably come / He probably won’t come.
STILL. Se coloca antesdel núcleoverbal,esdecir,enprimeraposición.
I still keep going to the gym
I still haven’t come from the gym.
ANYMORE, ANYLONGER. Vanal final de laoración,mientrasque NOLONGER va en
mediode laoración.
I don’t think I will go to that type of meeting any more.
