El documento describe el hermanamiento entre el Rotary Club Los Álamos de Monterrico en Perú y el Rotary Club Brussel-Atomium en Bélgica. Los clubes rotarios buscan establecer relaciones a largo plazo mediante la realización conjunta de proyectos de servicio y el intercambio de culturas, con el objetivo de promover la comprensión mutua y la buena voluntad.

SOBRE ROTARY INTENATIONAL?
Rotary es una organización de alcance mundial integrada por más de 1,2 millones de
dirigentes empresariales, profesionales y cívicos.
Los socios de los clubes conocidos como rotarios, brindan servicio humanitario,
promueven la práctica de elevadas normas de ética en todas las ocupaciones y
contribuyen a promover la buena voluntad y la paz en el mundo.
¿QUÉ SON LOS CLUBES HERMANOS?
Los clubes hermanos son dos o más clubes pertenecientes a Rotary Internacional, que
han decidido asumir el compromiso de llevar a cabo proyectos en conjunto en un marco
de amistad y servicio. El mismo lleva el nombre de “hermanamiento” por la expresa y
publica voluntad de las partes de actuar en conjunto en pos del crecimiento de sus
clubes y, consecuentemente, de sus comunidades; contrastando sus problemas y
desarrollando mancomunadamente posibles soluciones. Un hermanamiento es un
PROYECTO de dos clubes, con continuidad a largo plazo. Su máximo objetivo es el de
desarrollar lazos de amistad cada vez más estrechos.
LOS OBJETIVOS DE UN HERMANAMIENTO SON:
a) Enfatizar el aspecto internacional de Rotary de compañerismo trabajando en
proyectos de servicio conjunto/simultáneo.
b) Establecer una relación a largo plazo con otro club que llevará al desarrollo de
Proyectos en conjunto.
c) Resaltar el entendimiento o comprensión de otras culturas y formas de trabajo,
promoviendo la buena voluntad.
¿CÓMO ELEGIR UN CLUB HERMANO?
Uno de los aspectos más interesantes de un hermanamiento es el de elegir con qué club
se llevará a cabo el mismo. Encontrar un compañero adecuado requiere que todos los
integrantes del club puedan plantear sus intereses personales, afinidades y fortalezas y

debilidades con respecto a ese posible club, como así también su identificación y
compromiso a largo plazo para con el proyecto.
¿QUÉ DEBEMOS TENER EN CUENTA?
a) Mantener intereses similares.
b) Enfrentar desafíos compatibles.
c) Tener experiencia en un área que los clubes desean desarrollar o mejorar,
complementándose en ese aspecto.
d) Plantear que la ubicación de geográfica de ambos clubes sea de interés para ambos
clubes,ya seapor su aspecto socio-cultural, ladiversidad, clasificaciónde proyectos, etc.
e) Compartir una misma lengua o disponer de los recursos necesarios para la traducción
e interpretación.
QUE ACTIVIDADES ABARCA ESTE HERMANAMIENTO:
1. Visita entre países para mejorar las relaciones del Club.
2. Desarrollar proyectos Solidarios en conjunto
3. Las direcciones y datos importantes de todos los clubes del mundo se encuentran en
el “RI Official Directory”, que se envía a cada club en CD y que se puede pedir a la oficina
del RI en Evanston-Chicago, en formato CD o en libro.
4. Desarrollar, mediante programas de intercambio de jóvenes, de cultura y de
formación, utilizando siempre que seaposible, los programas y recursos de la Fundación
Rotaria – www.rotary.org.
5. Desarrollar Subvenciones de Club a Club, Subvenciones, Distritales- Globalizadas

ABOUT ROTARY INTENATIONAL?
Rotary is a global organization made up of more than 1.2 million business, professional

Club members known as Rotarians provide humanitarian service, promote the practice

WHAT ARE TWIN CLUBS?
The brother clubs are two or more clubs belonging to Rotary International, which have
decided to assume the commitment to carry out projects together in a framework of
friendship and service. It is called "twinning" by the express and public willingness ofthe
parties to act together in pursuit of the growth of their clubs and, consequently, their
communities; contrasting their problems and jointly developing possible solutions. A
twinning is a PROJECT of two clubs, with long-term continuity. Its ultimate goal is to
develop ever closer ties of friendship.
THE OBJECTIVES OF A TWINNING ARE:
a) Emphasize Rotary's international aspect of fellowship by working on joint /
simultaneous service projects.
b) Establishalong-term relationship with another club that willlead to the development
of joint projects.
c) Highlight the understanding or understanding of other cultures and forms of work,
promoting goodwill.
HOW TO CHOOSE A BROTHER CLUB?
One of the most interesting aspects of a twinning is to choose with which club the same
will take place. Finding a suitable partner requires that all members of the club can raise
their personal interests, affinities and strengths and weaknesses with respect to that
possible club, as well as their identification and long-term commitment to the project.

WHAT SHOULD WE CONSIDER?
a) Maintain similar interests.
b) Face compatible challenges.
c) Haveexperience in an area that the clubs wish to develop or improve, complementing
themselves in that aspect.
d) To suggest that the geographical location of both clubs is of interest to both clubs,
whether due to their socio-cultural aspect, diversity, project classification, etc. e) Share
the same language or have the necessary resources for translation and interpretation.
WHAT ACTIVITIES DOES THIS TWINNING:
1. Visit between countries to improve the Club's relations.
