2. FILOSOFIA

16. INGLES
One of the earliest references to sound as a wave is found in a statement
made by Aristotle. When the indicator that the movement is generated by a
source, forward air movement so that the sound waves propagate to where
the disturbance in the air is sustainable. Galileo demonstrated that the
frequency of sound waves determines the pitch, also relates the space of
the slots induced by the ancel to the tone of the scream.
Martin Mersenne was the first to determine the speed of sound in the air in
1640 when measuring the return of an echo. Plato He was born in Stagira
(Macedonia) at age 18 and entered the academy in Plato, where he
remained for 20 years. He founded the peripatetic high school.
17. The classic robert boyle experiment of 1660 on sonic radiation made by a clock
ticking within a partially vacuum provided evidence that air is necessary, either
for production or for the transmission of sound. The invention of calculus by
Newton provided a new tool for scientists and mathematicians to study sound.
They were related Joseph lovis Lagrange, Johann Bernoulli, Leonhard Euler.
When Georg Simon Ohm applied the harmonic analysis developed by Joseph
Fourier to the theory of sound. During the nineteenth century, sound theory
continued its development. The invention of devices such as the microphone,
phonograph and telephone was very useful in the study of sound.
Later technologists allowed the recording and reproduction of high-fidelity
sound. The speed of sound also served as a frame of reference in the twentieth
century. When Aristotle indicated that the movement of air is generated by a
source, moving forward so that unaltered sound waves propagate to where the
disturbance in the air is sustainable
18. PHYSICIANS THAT CONTRIBUTED TO THE SOUND THEME
• Galileo Galilei (1564 - 1642) He was an astronomer, philosopher and
mathematician who contributed to the history of sound, as he proved that
the frequency of sound waves determines the tone. This gave him to
understand realizing a small "experiment" which was produced scraping a
chisel in a plate of brass.
• Marin Mersenne (1588 - 1648) He was a mathematical priest, the first to
determine the speed of sound in the air when measuring the return of an
echo. Its determination of the speed of sound had an error of less than 10%
A very remarkable achievement for the technology of that time.
19. • Robert Boyle (1627 - 1691) was a physical philosopher and inventor who
developed very important projects in the relief of sound, demonstrated with
a ticking clock that air is necessary to produce or transmit sound. Although
this was not termed as a mathematical wave promulgation.
• Isaac Newton (1642 - 1727) was a physicist, English mathematical
philosopher who developed the interpretation of sound with pulses of
pressure through neighboring fluid particles, Newton offered new sound
studies to the mathematicians and scientists of that time.
• Georg Simon Ohm (1789 - 1854) was a German mathematical physicist,
applied a harmonic analysis of Joseph Fourier's theory of sound in this
analysis was aided in the creation of phonograph microphones and
telephones. In addition, it was considered very useful in the study of sound.
20. MATHEMATICS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO SOUND
• Newton (1643-1727) offered a new tool to scientists and mathematicians to
study sound. Significant theoretical developments were achieved during the
18th century thanks to the contributions of Joseph Louis Lagrange, Johann
Bernoulli, and Leonhard Euler among others. However, the complete
mathematical treatment of sound was not possible until the nineteenth
century when Georg Simon Ohm applied the harmonic analysis developed
by Joseph Fourier to the theory of sound.
• Lagrange (1667-1748) He was willing to appreciate the subtle work of
others, but he was equally apt to discover an error. In an early memory on
the mathematics of sound, I point out flaws, even in Newton's work.
21. • Leonhard Euler (1707-1783) In 1726 he finished his doctorate, and his
thesis, called 'De Sonó', was based on the propagation of sound. He then
moved to St. Petersburg, where he worked in the math department of the
City Academy and made family.
• Marin Mersenne (1588-1648) I perform quantitative measures in relation to
sound by finding the time of return of an echo and calculating the value of
the velocity of the sound defining the real value by less than 10%. He was
also the first to measure approximately the frequency of a note of the
determined tone.
• Sheikh Stars. Development of the first precise measurements of the speed
of sound in water were carried out in 1826 and throughout the century
numerous experiments were carried out to determine with extreme precision
the speed of sound of the frequency in different means.
