ABSTRACT
The formulation and development of the present environmental impact study contains the technical description of the project, the
environmental components located in the study area and the identification and evaluation of the effects of mining on the environmental
components; as well as plans, programs and measures for prevention, mitigation, correction and rehabilitation required to ensure the normal
development of mining activity in harmony with the conservation of natural resources, the environment and compliance with current
environmental regulations so as not to affect the population of the region of Segovia. This area has been degraded by natural processes where
there have been processes of erosion by water, wind, movements and affectation of fauna and flora. In this work we present the research
carried out during the semester, we determine the strategies to minimize the environmental contamination of the region of Segovia (Antioquia)
due to gold mining.
