Assessing the effect of a health-oriented intervention by traditional epidemiological methods is commonly based only on population segments that use healthcare services. Here we introduce a complementary framework for evaluating the impact of a targeted intervention, such as a vaccination campaign against an infectious disease, through a statistical analysis of user-generated content submitted on web platforms. Using supervised learning, we derive a nonlinear regression model for estimating the prevalence of a health event in a population from Internet data. This model is applied to identify control location groups that correlate historically with the areas, where a specific intervention campaign has taken place. We then determine the impact of the intervention by inferring a projection of the disease rates that could have emerged in the absence of a campaign. Our case study focuses on the influenza vaccination program that was launched in England during the 2013/14 season, and our observations consist of millions of geo-located search queries to the Bing search engine and posts on Twitter. The impact estimates derived from the application of the proposed statistical framework support conventional assessments of the campaign.

Inferring the Socioeconomic Status of Social Media Users based on Behaviour a...Vasileios Lampos
This paper presents a method to classify social media users based on their socioeconomic status. Our experiments are conducted on a curated set of Twitter profiles, where each user is represented by the posted text, topics of discussion, interactive behaviour and estimated impact on the microblogging platform. Initially, we formulate a 3-way classification task, where users are classified as having an upper, middle or lower socioeconomic status. A nonlinear, generative learning approach using a composite Gaussian Process kernel provides significantly better classification accuracy (75%) than a competitive linear alternative. By turning this task into a binary classification - upper vs. medium and lower class - the proposed classifier reaches an accuracy of 82%.

PASO 7: una vez que se han filtrado los documentos se obtiene el que
de verdad queremos.

PASO 8: al seleccionar el documentos que necesitamos lo primero que
sale es un resumen del mismos. En este caso si sale el documento
completo pero en otros cabe la posibilidad que no este completo. Para
poder ver el documento entero se hace clik donde pone texto
completo.

PASO 6: seleccionar el documento que mas se ajuste a lo que nosotros

no está completo, pues lo que viene es un resumen. Entonces ahora
habría que buscarlo en la base de datos de FAMA y para ello hay que
tener en cuenta la localización.

PASO 9: nos vamos al buscador y ponemos en la barra de búsqueda
bib.us.es/salud para podernos meternos en la página de la biblioteca y
poder acceder al buscador FAMA.

PASO 10: una vez que estamos dentro de la página de la biblioteca nos
vamos al buscador de FAMA y se le da a búsqueda avanzada.

PASO 11: cuando ya estamos en búsqueda avanzada, ponemos el título
de la revista, que en este caso es Enfermería Clínica, y en colección
ponemos revista. Una vez hecho esto se le da a buscar.

abajo. Hay que darle a enfermería clínica [Recurso electrónico].

ScienceDirect. En la columna de la izquierda se van buscando la fecha
del documento la cual aparece en la localización. En este caso seria en
volúmenes 11-20 (2001-2010).

se este buscando, que en este caso seria VOLUMEN 20, ISSUE 5
