2. ENCUESTA
3. SURVEY
• An survey is a set of
questions made by a
group, usually selected
randomly, with the aim
of collecting data to
detect public opinion on
a particular topic.
4. ¿CÓMO HACER UNA
ENCUESTA?
1. Identificar el problema
2. Formular un hipótesis
3. Establecer las variables.
4. Hacer las preguntas.
5. Aplicar la encuesta
6. Seleccionar la población a
estudiar.
7. Distribución y recolección
de datos.
8. Tabular los resultados.
9. Establecer los hallazgos.
10. Conclusiones.
5. HOW TO DO A INQUIRY?
• Identify the problem
• Formulate an
hypothesis
• Establish variables
• Make the questions
• Try the survey
• Population to study
• Distribution and
harvest
• Tabulate results
• Establish findings
• Conclusions
6. ENCUESTA
7. SURVEY
• It allows to get wide information from primary
sources. When the surveys are made we should
always protect the rights of the people and the
society.
• There are different ways to make a survey, for
example: bye telephone, face to face, by e-mail or
using apps. It’ll contain questions in order and those
questions could be open or close questions.
9. ENCUESTA DESCRIPTIVA
• Es el paso previo en
cualquier
investigación
mediante encuesta
(provoca los “por
qué”de la
investigación
explicativa).
10. DESCRIPTIVE SURVEY
•The descriptive survey is the
preview step in any investigation
through surveys. (provide the
“why” of the explanatory
investigation.
11. ENCUESTA DESCRIPTIVA
• Este tipo de encuestas tratan de reflejar o
documenta las actitudes o condiciones
que existen.
• Esto nos quiere decir que intenta
descubrir en que situación podemos
encontrar una población en particular en el
momento en el que estamos realizando la
encuesta.
12. DESCRIPTIVE SURVEY
• These surveys try to reflect or document
the attitudes or conditions that exist. This
means try to discover in what situation we
can find a particular population in the
moment that we are making the survey.
13. ENCUESTA DESCRIPTIVA
• Busca: Definir la
realidad, examinar un
fenómeno para
caracterizarlo y/o para
diferenciarlo de otro/s.
16. ETAPAS DE LA ENCUESTA
DESCRIPTIVA
- Definición teórica del fenómeno a
estudiar y selección-definición de las
variables del fenómeno a estudiar.
- Definir la población, con el fin de
extraer una muestra de esta población.
- Selección de una muestra
representativa que garantice la
generalización de los resultados.
17. STAGES
• Theoretical definition of the phenomenon
to study.
• Selection and establishment of the
variables.
• Determine the population.
• Choose an example that guarantees the
generalization of the results.
21. ENCUESTA COMPARATIVA
• Es una encuesta donde se
intentan establecer las
causas o factores de
riesgo de determinados
problemas.
• Esto se hace
comparando dos o más
grupos, algunos de los
cuales experimentan el
problema otros a los que
no afecta.
22. COMPARATIVE SURVEY
• It tries to establish the
reasons or risk factor of
specific problems.
• The mentioned above is
made comparing to or
more groups, some of
them will experience the
problem and others the
problem is not going to
affect them.
23. CARACTERÍSTICAS DE LA
ENCUESTA COMPARATIVA
• Observacional
• Prospectiva o retrospectiva
• Transversal
• Comparativa
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE
COMPARATIVE SURVEY
• Observational
• Prospective o retrospective
• Cross-sectional study
• Comparative.
25. RETROSPECTIVE COMPARATIVE
SURVEY
ADVANTAGES DISADVANTAGES
1. Allows support or reject an
hypothesis.
2. Allows comparison of the prevalence
of two or more populations.
3. It is useful to prepare a study to test
hypotheses.
4. Its design and implementation is low
cost.
5. To control confounding factors.
6. Serve for the study of diseases of
low incidence.
7 It is useful in comparing diagnostic
methods.
1. Based on records to obtain
information, it is of poor quality.
2. Do not allow to establish the
relationship of temporality.
3. The representativeness you get is
not good.
4. Allows measurements to eliminate
subjectivity.
27. PROSPECTIVE COMPARATIVE
SURVEY
if the information is collected,
according to the criteria of the
researcher and for the specific
purposes of research, after its
planning.
30. ENCUESTAS
REPRESENTATIVAS
COMPARATIVAS.
centrales.
31. REPRESENTATIVE
COMPARATIVE
SURVEYS
• Transversal: Variables are measure one time
only; characteristics of one or more groups of
units are measured, without trying to assess the
evolution of these units now.
• Comparative: Study in which there are two or
more population and where you want to compare
some variables to contrast one or more central
hypothesis.
