“we´ll keep on tryin´” Seguiremos intentándolo
“you can be anything you want to be” puedes ser todo lo que quierasser

Agradecimientos Especiales:
Valerie Mc Lucas -Docente Irlandesa
María Fernanda Oviedo - Locutora
Leandro Sagristani - Periodista

a usar las expresiones “there is” y “there are” (hay).
oral y escrita.

MY HOUSE!
Let’s work…

Las expresiones there is y there are significan “hay”
There is se usa con sustantivossingulares
There is a table = hay una mesa
There are se usa con sustantivosplurales
There are two tables = hay dos mesas
Para hacer oraciones negativas les agregamos “not”
There is not a table = no hay una mesa
There are not two tables= no hay dos mesas
permitiran describir nuestras casas/hogares.
completa: Adjetivos
También podemos usar las formas contraidas
There is = there´s
There are NO se contrae
There is not = thereisn´t
There are not = there aren´t

EALTHY FOOD VS UNHEALTHY FOOD
COMIDA SALUDABLE VS COMIDA INSANA/ CHATARRA
Look inside the fridge and answer the following questions:
Is there any fruit?
............................................................................................................
Are there any vegetables?
............................................................................................................
Are fruits and vegetables healthy or unhealthy?
............................................................................................................
Food: comida

Uncountable nouns: sustantivos
incontables
Fish (pescado ) Orange juice (jugo de naranja) Meat(carne)
Butter (manteca) Cheese (queso)
Water(agua) milk (leche)
incontable.

INGLÉS
Countable nouns = sustantivos contables
Ejemplos: There is an apple : Hay una manzana
There are two apples : Hay dos manzanas
Uncountable nouns= sustantivos incontables
No tienen forma plural.
Ejemplos: There is some water : Hay algo deagua
Ya sabemos que las expresiones there is y there are significan“hay”
usar there is/are atento a estos nuevosconceptos.
There is se usa con sustantivos contables singulares y también conincontables
There is a table: hay una mesa There is some water: hay agua
There are se usa con sustantivos contablesplurales
There are two tables: hay dos mesas
There aren´t any apples on the table: no hay manzanas en la mesa
There isn´t any rice: no hay arroz
is/are.

cantidad.
Ejemplos:
There is an egg (hay un huevo)
There are four eggs (hay cuatro huevos)
There are some eggs ( hay algunoshuevos)
b. LET´S READ AND WRITE
LEAMOS Y ESCRIBAMOS
Is there an egg?
Are there foureggs?
Are there anyeggs?
............................................................................................................
There are no se usa
nunca con los sustantivos
incontables

SOME y ANY significan alguno, alguna, algunos, algunas, algo de y generalmente se utilizan
There are some apples in the fridge: Hay algunas manzanas en la heladera.
There is some rice: Hay algo de arroz.
negativas
There aren´t any apples on the table: No hay manzanas sobre la mesa
There isn´t any rice: no hay arroz
There is an apple: hay una manzana There is a sandwich: hay unsandwich
