16. EL ADN Y EL ARN EN LAS CÉLULAS
EUCARIOTAS?
ADN ARN
En los organismos eucariotas, la mayor
parte del ADN se encuentra en el núcleo
conformando la cromatina y los
cromosomas.
El ADN también lo podemos encontrar
en las mitocondrias específicamente en
la matriz mitocondrial donde codifica
para proteínas involucradas en la
respiración celular.
En los organismos que realizan
fotosíntesis se encuentra en los
cloroplastos, dentro de la matriz del
orgánulo donde codifica para proteínas
involucradas en el proceso de
fotosíntesis.
En las células eucariotas a diferencia del
ADN la mayoría del ARN se encuentra en
el citoplasma celular y compone algunos
orgánulos celulares como los ribosomas
que se encuentra sueltos en el citoplasma
y los que se encuentran en el retículo
endoplasmático ( sección rugosa), y están
involucrados en el proceso de síntesis de
proteínas.
También lo podemos encontrar en el
núcleo de la célula donde el ARNm es
sintetizado, el ARN presente en el núcleo a
diferencia del ADN es una cadena lineal
debido a la presencia de un oxigeno de
más en las moléculas de ribosa.

20. EL ADN Y EL ARN EN LOS VIRUS?
ADN ARN
En el caso de los virus pueden contener su material
genético en forma de ADN o ARN y este se encuentra
envuelto por una estructura llamada cápside, también
existen virus que contienen los dos tipos de ácidos
nucleicos los cuales se llaman virus bicatenarios.
Es importante tener en cuenta que los virus no tienen
células propias y dependen de las células hospederas para
replicarse. Por lo tanto, el lugar donde se encuentra el
ácido nucleico viral en su hospedero depende de la
estrategia de replicación del virus.
