6. La Dispensaciones Bíblicas
• En el estudio de las Escrituras es importante entender que la
revelación escritural se divide en períodos bien definidos.
• Estos están claramente separados, y reconocer estas divisiones
y sus propósitos divinos constituye uno de los factores más
importantes en la verdadera interpretación de las Escrituras.
• Estas divisiones se conocen como «dispensaciones», y en
períodos de tiempo sucesivos se pueden observar diferentes
dispensaciones.

Es probable que el reconocimiento de las dispensaciones arroje
más luz sobre el mensaje total de las Escrituras que ningún otro
aspecto del estudio bíblico. Muy a menudo sucede que el hecho de
tener un claro entendimiento de las, dispensaciones y de los
propósitos que Dios ha revelado en ellas ha llegado a ser el
principio de un valioso conocimiento de las Escrituras y de un
interés personal en la Biblia misma. La relación del hombre con su
Creador no es la misma en todas las edades. Ha sido necesario
someter al hombre caído a ciertas pruebas. Esto es en parte el
propósito de Dios a través de las edades, y el resultado de las
pruebas afrontadas por el hombre ha sido en cada caso una
incuestionable demostración tanto de la pecaminosidad como del
absoluto fracaso espiritual y moral del género humano. Y en el día
final toda boca se cerrará, porque a través de muchos siglos de
experiencia se habrá comprobado la maldad o insensatez de todos
los pensamientos del corazón del hombre.

LA ESCUELA CRÍTICA: Usando criterio racionalista se choza la inspiración de la cononicidad del Apocalipsis creyendo que este libro es producto de la mente humana, de su autor y no de la revelación dado por el espíritu santo.
LA ESCUELA ALEGÓRICA: Intenta encontrar el significado del Apocalipsis en el valor recóndito de las palabras, desentendiese de la historia, para buscar el significado espiritual y ministerio del libro.
LA ESCUELA PRETERISTA: Considera que el apocalipsis tiene que ver con el imperio romano, particularmente en el tiempo de Neran y Constantino, creen que Neran era el Anticristo o la bestia, puesto que su nombre escrito en caracteres hebreos proporcionarán el misterioso No.666.
Según esta escuela el Apocalipsis se cumplió dentro de los primeros siglos de la historia de la iglesia. Las visiones tienen que ver con Israel, Jerusalén y la iglesia. El precursor de esta escuela fue el Jesuita Alcazar Given en el año 1614 reconocía la historicidad del Apocalipsis, otro prometa fue el famoso Jesuita, Estadista y Teólogo Holandés Hugo Grotius 1583-1645. El reconocido Decano de Conterby Frederic William Farsar 1831-1903, consideraba el Apocalipsis como un bosquejo inspirado de historia contemporánea, algunas preterista opinan que el Apocalipsis es un libro descriptivo y no profético.
LA ESCUELA HISTÓRICA: Presenta un panorama de la historia de la iglesia entre la promesa y la segunda venida de Cristo. Según esta escuela la iglesia constituye el centro de la profecía del Apocalipsis.
Ve en los monumentales acontecimientos de los últimos 19 siglos trompetos, capas y todos los otras visiones especiales por tanto, según estas no puede haber un acontecimiento de revelación a menos que se tenga un visto conocimiento de la historia de las naciones que componen el cristianismo.
Bosquejando de forma simbólica todo el curso de la historia de la iglesia desde pentecostés hasta el venida del Cristo.
LA ESCUELA FUTURISTA: Considera que la mayor porción de este libro es aplicable a un periodo aun en el futuro y que solamente tres capítulos se refieren a la presente dispensación (tiempo) de la iglesia entendiendo que el apocalipsis preeminentemente es escatológico y por tanto los capítulos 4 al 22 aun no se cumplen, pero tendrán su cumplimiento literal igual que la segunda venida del señor que será literal, corporal visible judicial y gloriosa.
