2. Active voice describes a sentence where the subject performs the action
stated by the verb, In active sentences, the thing doing the action is the subject
of the sentence and the thing receiving the action is the object. Most sentences
are active.

3. Examples:
The president of a speech.
(The president is the subject who performs the action of the verb, which is to give
a speech).
Mary skates on ice.
(In this case the subject "Maria", executes the action of skating on the ice).
Peter fishes his food.
(In this case, the subject "pedro", performs the verbal action of "fishing").
4. Passive voice is used when the focus is on the action. It is not important or
known, however, who or what is performing the action. In passive sentences,
the thing receiving the action is the subject of the sentence and the thing doing
the action is optionally included near the end of the sentence.

6. La voz activa describe una oración donde el sujeto realiza la acción
declarada por el verbo. En las oraciones activas, la cosa que hace la acción es
el sujeto de la oración y la cosa que recibe la acción es el objeto. La mayoría de

8. La voz pasiva se utiliza cuando el foco está en la acción. No es importante el
nombre, sin embargo, quién está realizando la acción. En las oraciones
pasivas, la cosa que recibe la acción es el sujeto de la oración y la cosa que
hace la acción se incluye opcionalmente cerca del final de la oración.
