Futurologists are scientists who
attempt to develop predictions of
what life will be like in the future.
After the first man landed on the
moon in 1969, they considered the
possibility that, in the 21st century,
families will go for a holiday on the
moon.
We asked Ian Pearson, (1956, Dudley, United Kingdome, one of the world's best-known
scientific experts on the future), what new
technology we can expect to see by 2050 and how it
will change the way we live.
Pearson said by 2018, people will use drones to
deliver things like packages to hospitals in the next
two years. But they won’t become too widespread,
“maybe we will use them for some package delivery;
drones won’t delivery everyday activities like pizza”.
SuperJet International/Flickr
Pearson said that airplanes will continue to evolve
over the next 30 years to become faster. As a result,
it is likely that windows might start disappearing
from airplanes. To increase speed, airplanes won’t
have windows by 2045. Augmented reality will make
it possible entirely replace windows.

13. SECUENCIA DIDÁCTICA
The Aero Mobil 3.0 is a prototype of a
flying car, and Pearson points to the
success of prototypes is a sign that
flying cars will exist in the future. The
flying cars Pearson envisions will be
able to hover above the ground at any
altitude, but they won't zip around
like in popular movie depictions.
Flying cars will exist in the coming
years.
"There might be some flying cars, but not very many," he said. "They will be self-flying cars,
there's no way ordinary people would fly them."

Space trips designed to send people to Mars could
start taking place in 2030.
Elon Musk, the visionary head of SpaceX, has
announced that he wants to land humans on Mars
within the next nine years. At a Conference in June
said he plans to send astronauts to the red planet
in 2024 so they get there by 2025.
"We will see first people going off to Mars, and
then robots will do some basic stuff like making
basic materials [on Mars,]" Pearson said. "We're
going to have to do that because only so much can
be brought to space."
People will drive around in driverless pods by 2025.
Pearson said that in 10 years, driverless systems will
be omnipresent, everywhere. But we'll have self-
driving cars and people will be able to own their
own "cheap steel box" and control it themselves
using a phone.
YouTube/ Tommaso Gecchelin
The boxes Pearson is conceiving will not have
wheels, making them even cheaper. He imagines the structure will use a technology that was
patented in the early 20th century — magnetic levitation — to propel them.

15. SECUENCIA DIDÁCTICA
You'll be able to ride a Hyperloop by 2025.
Traveling via Hyperloop will be here before we know it. A Hyperloop could take us in between
cities in just six years.
The Hyperloop, is a futuristic tubular system that
shoots pod-like capsules between destinations at
speeds of more than 500 miles per hour, as soon as
next year.
California-based startup Hyperloop Technologies is
planning on building three hyperloops by
2020 and Hyperloop Transportation Technologies
plans on breaking ground on a five-mile test track
in 2019.
Pearson said by 2050, Hyperloops will be a pretty normal form of transportation.
Mexico will have one of the first Hyperloop in the world. How long will it take to make trips
using Hyperloop One México City to Guadalajara: 532 km / 38 min

1. Drivers in a wide variety of ways. Vehicles
will communicate with each other, with the
road and with traffic signals.
Autos and trucks of the future will use vision
enhancement devices to help you navigate
through bad weather and warn you of a
possible collision with a pedestrian or animal.
They will also let you know if you are getting
drowsy or straying from your lane.
2. It will be possible to ride in a hypersonic jet
high in the atmosphere by 2040.
Hypersonic aircrafts that fly high in the air will
exist in 2040, but the cost of riding one will
reserve it for the super wealthy. The U.S. Patent
and Trademark Office actually approved a
patent for an airbus that will transport you
from London to New York in just one hour.
3. Buildings will serve as spaceports by 2045.
By 2045, there will be buildings constructed of
"super-strong carbon-based materials" that are
18 to 24 miles high, and atop these giant
structures will be spaceports.
Pearson said that as building materials evolve,
giant high-rises will be able to support such
activity. And as space travel becomes more
common, these spaceports will also prove to be
a more efficient way of launching spacecraft.
