Southern Blot Se utiliza una gelatina de agarosa Se corre nuestra muestra con electroforesis Se procede a transferir a un filtro de nitrocelulosa (aquí esta una réplica de la gel de agarosa ya corrida) Al filtro se le agrega una sonda marcada (radioactiva o fluorocromo) Luego la sonda se puede ver mediante rayos x o con luz. La sonda es una secuencia de ácidonucléico, DNA, que reconocerá a la secuencia de DNA en el filtro, através del reconocimiento de secuencias complementarias de ácidosnucléicos.
