Referencia y Referente
Referencia: es un mecanismo de coherencia
que consiste en la utilización de pronombres y
palabras para reemplazar otras ya mencionadas
en el texto. Esto con el objetivo de establecer una
relación entre un elemento del texto y otro u otros
que están presentes en el mismo.
El referente es la entidad designada por la
referencia. Es decir, el objeto (u objetos) a los
cuales estamos representando con las
referencias. Por ejemplo: carro, perro, gato,
estudiante, doctor, computadores, entre otros.

Comprensión de textos…
La identificación de los referentes es un aspecto
muy importante en la comprensión de los textos,
ya que incide en forma directa en el procesamiento de
la información.
Se identifica el término que reemplaza al referente.
Se establece la relación entre el primero y el segundo.
Tipos de referencias
Referencias Personales: se realiza a través de los
pronombres personales, objeto, posesivos y adjetivos
posesivos, primordialmente.

Clasificación
1.Referencia exofórica:
Se presenta cuando un elemento del texto alude a
elementos de la realidad o a factores extralingüísticos
que no están en el texto sino en el contexto
situacional.
Ejemplo : Nosotros somos parte esencial de la
Universidad de Antioquia.
Nosotros establece una relación con alguno de
los estamentos que hace parte de la Universidad de
Antioquia y que no está presente en el texto:
estudiantes, profesores, empleados, trabajadores y
más…

Clasificación
2. Referencia endofórica:
Se presenta cuando la relación se establece con un referente que
está presente en el mismo texto.
Ejemplo: Nos hizo una oferta excelente. En ella, describe con
precisión todas las ventajas de la alianza.
El pronombre personal ella hace referencia a un grupo nominal que
está presente en el mismo texto: una oferta excelente.
Las referencias endofóricas pueden ser de dos tipos:
2.1. Anafóricas:
Ocurren cuando en el interior del texto se establece una
referencia retrospectiva, es decir, cuando un término alude a otro ya
mencionado con anterioridad (como sucede en el ejemplo anterior).
Ejemplo: “Entre los caracteres físicos que contribuyen más a
hacer que una persona resulte atrayente (o repulsiva) hay algunos
que son incontrolables a causa de su predeterminación...”
Algunos establece una referencia anafórica con caracteres físicos

Clasificación

Ejemplo: Lee cuidadosamente el siguiente fragmento
e identifica los referentes de acuerdo a su tipo y
clasificación.
Juan y Silvia fueron al
zoológico. Juan y Silvia
fueron a pie al zoo. Juan y
Silvia comieron popcorn y
Juan y Silvia comieron
helados. Juan fue a ver los
monos; luego Juan fue a ver
los leones. Silvia fue a ver
los pájaros y luego Silvia fue
a ver los peces. Juan y Silvia
estuvieron muy contentos
