2. Presente progresivo: El presente
progresivo, también llamado el
presente continuo, se forma con el
verbo BE y un participio presente:
BE + (verb+ing). Este aspecto
gramatical corresponde al verbo
ESTAR + gerundio.
Ejemplo:
I am studying English
Estoy estudiando el inglés.
El Presente progresivo es usado
cuando hablamos de:
1.- Acciones que están ocurriendo
en el momento que se habla
Ejemplo: Peter is Reading a book
now – Peter está leyendo un libro
ahora
2.- Planificaciones realizadas
para un futuro cercano
Ejemplo: She is going to baseball
on saturday – Ella va al béisbol el
sábado,
3.- Acciones temporales.
Ejemplo: His father is working in
Rome – Su padre esta
trabajando en Roma
3. Oraciones Negativas e Interrogativas
Oraciones negativas
Sujeto + Verbo Be + NOT + Verbo ING + Complemento.
I am not Playing Volleyball
Oración Interrogativa
Verbo Be + Sujeto + Verbo ing + Complemento?
Am I playing Volleyball ?
4. Pasado Progresivo
Está formado con el verbo Be base en el pasado (WAS -
WERE)
Sujeto+ be+ Verbo ing + Complemento.
My father was washing the car last Sunday.
Formas:
Susan and Tom were sleeping while I was working
As I was reading my book the power went out
5. Oraciones Negativas e Interrogativas
Oraciones Negativas:
Sujeto + Was o were+ not + verbo ing+ complemento.
Susan was not working in an office last year.
Susan wasn´t working in an office last year.
Oraciones Interrogativas:
Was o were + Sujeto + verbo ing + complemento?
Was Susan working in an office last year?
6. Futuro Progresivo
Se utiliza para describir acciones que van a tener lugar
en el futuro y que, al momento del tiempo al que nos
referimos, seguirán desarrollándose. No siempre se
menciona en la oración el momento del futuro.
Oraciones Afirmativas:
Sujeto + auxiliar “will” + verbo be + verbo ing +
complemento
Ramona will be going to Bejuma next year
They will be cooking pasta this afternoon
