Laguna de llanganuco
1. LAGUNA DE LLANGANUCO
Hermosas lagunas de aguas color turquesa, famosas en el Perú y el mundo, ubicadas a 84
kilómetros noreste de Huaraz, y 25 km de Yungay; en el Parque Nacional Huascarán. Este
magnífico escenario natural se encuentra en un estrecho valle glaciar, entre los Nevados
Huascarán (6 768 m) y Huandoy (pico sur 6,160 m).
La visita se inicia en el puesto de control (entrada al Parque Nacional Huascarán), donde
registrarás tus datos y harás el pago respectivo por derecho de ingreso. El recorrido
continúa entre enormes paredones y diversas especies de la flora alto andina. Observarás
densos bosques de queñual, alisos, cascadas de aguas puras y cristalinas, convirtiéndole
en un verdadero paraíso terrenal, privilegiado por la naturaleza. La primera visita se
realiza a la laguna conocida como Chinancocha o "Laguna Hembra", con 1,450m de
longitud, 7,393m de ancho y 28m de profundidad, y está rodeada por árboles de queñual,
totora y podrá apreciar a los patos silvestres nadando cerca de usted. Esta laguna es la
más popular y la más visitada por los turistas. Los residentes del lugar ofrecen servicios de
paseos en bote y a caballo, además la venta de algunos platos típicos de la zona que
deleitarán su paladar.
La magia continúa a la segunda laguna, Laguna Orconcocha o "Laguna Macho", ubicado al
final del valle y es la más pequeña, su longitud es de 910m, 368m de ancho por 7m de
profundidad, donde podrás apreciar la biodiversidad de la flora y fauna silvestre propia de
esta región.
2. LAGUNA DE LLANGANUCO
Beautiful turquoise water lagoons, famous in Peru and the world, located 84 kilometers
northeast of Huaraz, and 25 kilometers from Yungay; In the Huascarán National Park. This
magnificent natural scenery is located in a narrow glacier valley, between the Huascarán
Nevados (6 768 m) and Huandoy (southern peak 6,160 m).
The visit starts at the checkpoint (entrance to Huascarán National Park), where you will
record your data and make the respective payment for the right of entry. The route
continues between huge walls and diverse species of high Andean flora. You will see
dense forests of queñual, alisos, waterfalls of pure and crystalline waters, turning it into a
true earthly paradise, privileged by nature. The first visit is to the lagoon known as
Chinancocha or "Laguna Hembra", with 1,450m in length, 7.393m wide and 28m deep,
and is surrounded by trees of queñual, totora and you will appreciate the wild ducks
swimming nearby from you. This lagoon is the most popular and most visited by tourists.
Residents of the place offer boating and horse riding services, as well as the sale of some
typical dishes of the area that will delight your palate.
