Este documento presenta el primer módulo de una clase de inglés. El módulo se centra en enseñar a los estudiantes cómo describir la apariencia física de las personas y hablar de experiencias pasadas usando verbos en participio y el presente perfecto. El laboratorio es obligatorio para practicar lo aprendido y desarrollar las cuatro habilidades del idioma inglés.

Hoy en día, muchas son las causas y muy diversas
las razones por las que el inglés se ha convertido en
una lengua internacional; de hecho, su conocimiento
supone casi una condición indispensable para el éxito
profesional. Por ello es imperante que en sus estudios
de Turismo hagan lo posible por aprovechar los
conocimientos que serán impartidos sobre este idioma.
Dichos valiosos conocimientos desarrollaran sus
destrezas y competencias en la Administración de
Empresas Turísticas la cual tiene un auge
importantísimo en nuestro país.

3. • Introducción al Modulo:
• Este primer modulo les ofrece un repaso acerca de
como preguntar y describir la apariencia personal de
las personas (edad, altura,peso,color,etc) . También
usaran preposiciones con participios. Escucharan
diferentes descripciones. Harán talleres en las cuales
describirán a sus compañeros y también harán su
propia descripción.
• El modulo contempla hablar de experiencias pasadas,
haciendo preguntas y respondiendo afirmativa/o
negativamente, usando el participio regular o irregular
y el presente perfecto.

4. • Laboratorio: El uso del laboratorio es obligatorio.
En ella pondrán en práctica lo visto en clases.
Además tendrán la oportunidad de escuchar
otras pronunciaciones del idioma
ingles(Británico, Canadiense).Igualmente
escribirán un e-mail a un amigo/a describiendo a
alguien, describiendo algún evento y escuchando
acerca de eventos. Con respecto a la gramática
harán ejercicios en línea usando los web sites
asignados para cada lección.

5. • Objetivos
• · Afianzar las competencias básicas en las
cuatro destrezas lingüísticas del idioma inglés :
listening, speaking, readinig ,and writing.
• · Adquirir un nivel básico que permita al
estudiante desenvolverse en situaciones
cotidianas en el ámbito laboral y social.

6. • Explain that students will learn ways to describe what
people look like.
• Ask questions about different student’s: Is he tall or
short? Does she have straight or curly hair?
• With the books open ask students to focus their
attention on the expressions and pictures. Ask them to
circle any words they don’t know.
• Ask different students to read the expressions. Give
help with pronunciation as needed..
• Point out that Handsome usually refers to men
and pretty to women but good looking describes both
men and women.

7. • Also mention to them that adverbs such as fairly and pretty
can modify the strength of different descriptions for
exampleL fairly tall, pretty short )
• Write these words on the board:
• Hair Age Looks Height

• Have them working in groups. Ask them to brainstorm at
least three more expressions to describe people. Then ask
a student from each group to write their expressions under
the correct headings on the board.
• Explain the rules for using the new words.
• Be + adjective
• Have + noun

8. • Ask students to write BE/ have next to the expressions on the
board.
• Write sentences about famous people using expressions from the
boxes. Example :( Tom Cruise is handsome.) Then the students read
their sentences to their classmates.
• Pair work::
• · Students choose at least four expressions to describe themselves
and their partners. They complete the chart individually. Teacher
goes around the class and give help as needed.
• · Ask two students to read the example conversation from the
book. Ask for other expressions for agreeing or disagreeing.
Example: (that’s true. No way!) Write them on the board

9. • · Students compare charts in pairs. Teacher
goes around the class to give help as needed.
• · Students work with different partners. This
time, they sit back –to- back and describe each
other from memory.
• · Lab
• Students listen to different peoples’ description.
• Students listen and repeat.

10. • ASIGNACION
• Estudiantes traerán a la próxima clase fotos de
amigos, familiares o revistas con fotos de
personas.
• Cada estudiante hará una descripción de la
foto.(amigo, familiar o del personaje de la
revista).
