ADJETIVES
They designate qualities of the nouns they accompany. Some adjectives can be graduated to make comparisons. Others, on the other hand,
do not admit any graduation and can only be used absolutely. To do this, just add the suffixes -er and -est to the adjectives of up to two
syllables, or add more or the most to the adjective of two or more syllables.

The cat is cute (El gato es lindo)
The cat is more cuter than that cat (El gato es mas lindo que aquel gato)
Harry Potter books are the more interesting that the movies (Los libros de Harry Potter son mas interesantes que las peliculas)
Harry Potter books are the most interesting for children ( Los libros de Harry Potter son los mas interesantes para los niños)

Designan cualidades de los sustantivos a los que acompañan. Algunos adjetivos pueden graduarse para establecer comparaciones.
Otros, por el contrario, no admiten ninguna graduación y solo pueden usarse de forma absoluta. Para ello, basta con solo agregar los

ADVERBS
They qualify verbs or other adjectives or adverbs. One way to form adverbs from adjectives in English is to add the
suffix -ly. Adverbs also have a comparative and superlative form that allows comparisons to be made.
Example:
I sing awfully ( Yo canto terriblemente)
The dog ran joyously and quickly toward me (El perro corrió alegre y rápidamente hacia mi)

Los grados del adverbio permiten establecer
comparaciones entre el modo de darse la acción del
verbo. Los adverbios que pueden graduarse son los
derivados y los adjetivales. En español existen tres
grados de comparación: positivo, comparativo y
superlativo, que a su vez distingue entre el superlativo
absoluto y el superlativo relativo.

be made between how to realize the action of the
verb. The adverbs that can be graduated are
derivatives and adjectives. In Spanish there are
three degrees of comparison: positive,
comparative and superlative, which in turn
distinguishes between the absolute superlative
and the relative superlative.

María runs as fast as Carlos.
Carlos runs faster than María.
The fastest runner is Carlos.

SPANISH
Comparativo
Donde la calidad está vinculada entre dos o más
elementos.
Ejemplo: Alejandro es más listo que Leonardo
Superioridad
Es la forma simple del adjetivo o adverbio.
Ejemplo: este auto es el más hermoso.
Superlativo
Se utiliza para resaltar en un individuo o cosa, una
característica que lo diferencia del resto de los
elementos de su conjunto.
Ejemplo: esta casa es la menos cómoda.
ENGLISH
Comparative
Where the quality is linked between two or more
elements.
Example: Alejandro is smarter than Leonardo
Superiority
It is the simple form of the adjective or adverb.
Example: This car is the most beautiful.
Superlative
It is used to highlight in an individual or thing, a
characteristic that differentiates it from the rest of the
elements of its set.
Example: This house is the least comfortable
9. Rules of Graduation of adjectives and adverbs
ENGLISH
• Superlatives always use the word "the" before the noun.
It is formed by adding the suffix "est" to the monosyllabic adjectives or the disyllables ending in y, er, le and ow.
Andrea is the funniest person I know.
