profundidad y disfrutar del sol en

6. Gallo pinto

características de Nicaragua es el

gallopinto es el platillo más típico
y representativo del país, de cada
10 familias 9 consumen gallo pinto
en uno de sus tiempos de comida,
principalmente en el desayuno o
cena. Muchas veces viene
acompañado en su mayoría por
queso, crema, huevos fritos, carne
asada, tajadas de plátanos o
plátanos maduros fritos.

un sabor exquisito. Los
ingredientes son tostados y
luego molidos. Popularmente
es servido en “Jícaras” que es
un recipiente elaborado de la
fruta del Jícaro.

un sabor muy parecido al
chocolate. En algunos
departamentos del país lo
preparan a base de tortilla de
maíz “remojada” que son
molidas lo que le da un mayor
espesor, produciendo lo que
los nicaragüenses llaman
“chingaste”.

deja fermentar por varios días,
el resultado es una bebida tan
fuerte como la cerveza, a esto
se le conoce como “Chicha
bruja”.

• Es una bebida preparada ya
sea de “maíz pujagua” (maíz
morado) o de maíz blanco, se

molido, para lo cual se utiliza
leche o agua y se añade
azúcar y otras especias
(canela, clavo de olor…) al
gusto. Se sirve caliente o frio
(en este caso se le conoce
como pozol).
