Esta investigación trata de cuál es la percepción
que poseen los puertorriqueños, si negativa o
positiva, sobre los tatuajes en el mundo laboral. A
través de esta encuesta contestaremos preguntas de
porque existe una percepción negativa sobre los
tatuajes, a qué tipo de personas les gustan y porqué
se los hacen.
Introducción
Justificación
 Darle a conocer a todas las personas que desean
hacerse tatuajes las diferentes repercusiones que estas
le puedan causar en la sociedad y específicamente en
el ámbito laboral.
 Hacerle entender a las personas tatuadas que la
sociedad no siempre está preparada para que
individuos tatuados puedan llegar a ser profesionales,
ya que la mayoría de las veces son mal vistos y mal
juzgados por su apariencia física.
Muestra
Utilizamos un muestreo por cuota. El segmento meta son personas
profesionales y universitarios mayores de 18 años. el cuestionario
fue publicado el 25 de marzo de 2014 y concluyo el 28 de abril de
2014. Enviamos el cuestionario a aproximadamente 150 personas;
de estas 150 personas 46 es nuestra muestra.

para hacerse un tatuaje
Determinar la percepción de la
población sobre tener tatuajes
Definir la realidad social de si tener
tatuajes afecta la carrera profesional
Determinar si han considerado la
remoción de sus tatuajes

Formulación de la Hipótesis
En un articulo publicado el 28 de Mayo del 2013, en el
periódico Primera Hora, varios individuos se quejaron
de haber sido discriminados en su empleo por tener
tatuajes visibles.
Indicaron que han tenido que recurrir a vestir camisa de
manga larga porque no le dan otra opción. Le han dicho
que si no están con manga larga no pueden seguir
trabajando.
Se escogió una muestra de 46 personas para determinar
si han sido prejuiciados en sus trabajos por tener
tatuajes.

Hallazgos de las Hipótesis
1- El tener tatuajes disminuye de manera considerable el encontrar un trabajo
Un 46% de los encuestados indica que existe discriminación en el
entorno laboral, por tener tatuajes, lo que limita la posibilidad de
encontrar un empleo.
2- El índice de discriminación laboral es mayor en las personas tatuadas que en las
no tatuadas
Un 46% indica que es discriminado o conoce a alguien que lo ha
sido versus un 39% que indica que no ha sido discriminado.
3- Si las personas que están tatuadas son consideradas como delincuentes entonces
les será mas difícil obtener una plaza en el campo laboral.
Un 85% de los encuestados indica que perciben a las personas
tatuadas como delincuentes, por lo que seria mas difícil encontrar
empleo.
Hallazgos de las Hipótesis
4- Tener tatuajes afecta tu empleo aun cuando tu desempeño sea excelente.
Según los encuestados un 53% han contestado que le han pedido
en su empleo que cubran sus tatuajes aun cuando su desempeño
sea excelente.
5- Los tatuajes son motivo de rechazo tanto en el ámbito laboral como social.
Según los encuestados un 46% ha sido discriminado al momento
de buscar empleo y un 85% relaciona los tatuajes con
delincuentes por lo que la encuesta refleja que los tatuajes son
motivo de rechazo tanto en el ámbito social como laboral.
Conclusión
Este estudio demostró lo siguiente:
• El motivo que lleva a un individuo a realizarse un tatuaje de los
encuestados fue por presión de grupo seguido por tradición.
• Los grupos sociales que tienen mayor tendencia a hacerse un tatuaje
son los delincuentes y los universitarios.
• Que a pesar que los tiempos han cambiado y mucha gente ya es más
abierta al tema de los tatuajes aún existe una gran discriminación en
el ámbito laboral.
• El tener un tatuaje dificulta al momento de buscar empleo aun
cuando estés calificado para el puesto y los aspirantes prefieren
cubrirse los tatuajes para conseguir un empleo.
• La sociedad está de acuerdo que deben existir leyes laborales que
protejan a los trabajadores que tienen tatuajes.

Percepción de los Tatuajes en el Trabajo (Puerto Rico)

  • 2. Esta investigación trata de cuál es la percepción que poseen los puertorriqueños, si negativa o positiva, sobre los tatuajes en el mundo laboral. A través de esta encuesta contestaremos preguntas de porque existe una percepción negativa sobre los tatuajes, a qué tipo de personas les gustan y porqué se los hacen. Introducción

Justificación  Darle a conocer a todas las personas que desean hacerse tatuajes las diferentes repercusiones que estas le puedan causar en la sociedad y específicamente en el ámbito laboral.  Hacerle entender a las personas tatuadas que la sociedad no siempre está preparada para que individuos tatuados puedan llegar a ser profesionales, ya que la mayoría de las veces son mal vistos y mal juzgados por su apariencia física.
  • 4. Muestra Utilizamos un muestreo por cuota. El segmento meta son personas profesionales y universitarios mayores de 18 años. el cuestionario fue publicado el 25 de marzo de 2014 y concluyo el 28 de abril de 2014. Enviamos el cuestionario a aproximadamente 150 personas; de estas 150 personas 46 es nuestra muestra.

Formulación de la Hipótesis En un articulo publicado el 28 de Mayo del 2013, en el periódico Primera Hora, varios individuos se quejaron de haber sido discriminados en su empleo por tener tatuajes visibles. Indicaron que han tenido que recurrir a vestir camisa de manga larga porque no le dan otra opción. Le han dicho que si no están con manga larga no pueden seguir trabajando. Se escogió una muestra de 46 personas para determinar si han sido prejuiciados en sus trabajos por tener tatuajes.

Hallazgos de las Hipótesis 1- El tener tatuajes disminuye de manera considerable el encontrar un trabajo Un 46% de los encuestados indica que existe discriminación en el entorno laboral, por tener tatuajes, lo que limita la posibilidad de encontrar un empleo. 2- El índice de discriminación laboral es mayor en las personas tatuadas que en las no tatuadas Un 46% indica que es discriminado o conoce a alguien que lo ha sido versus un 39% que indica que no ha sido discriminado. 3- Si las personas que están tatuadas son consideradas como delincuentes entonces les será mas difícil obtener una plaza en el campo laboral. Un 85% de los encuestados indica que perciben a las personas tatuadas como delincuentes, por lo que seria mas difícil encontrar empleo.
  • 25. Hallazgos de las Hipótesis 4- Tener tatuajes afecta tu empleo aun cuando tu desempeño sea excelente. Según los encuestados un 53% han contestado que le han pedido en su empleo que cubran sus tatuajes aun cuando su desempeño sea excelente. 5- Los tatuajes son motivo de rechazo tanto en el ámbito laboral como social. Según los encuestados un 46% ha sido discriminado al momento de buscar empleo y un 85% relaciona los tatuajes con delincuentes por lo que la encuesta refleja que los tatuajes son motivo de rechazo tanto en el ámbito social como laboral.

Conclusión Este estudio demostró lo siguiente: • El motivo que lleva a un individuo a realizarse un tatuaje de los encuestados fue por presión de grupo seguido por tradición. • Los grupos sociales que tienen mayor tendencia a hacerse un tatuaje son los delincuentes y los universitarios. • Que a pesar que los tiempos han cambiado y mucha gente ya es más abierta al tema de los tatuajes aún existe una gran discriminación en el ámbito laboral. • El tener un tatuaje dificulta al momento de buscar empleo aun cuando estés calificado para el puesto y los aspirantes prefieren cubrirse los tatuajes para conseguir un empleo. • La sociedad está de acuerdo que deben existir leyes laborales que protejan a los trabajadores que tienen tatuajes.
