- You can either hand out strips of paper they need to match up to OR play this Quizlet game: https://quizlet.com/_5vxv73 PART 2: translate in class, encourage students to think about how these answers can be adapted. PART 3: In pairs, ask and answer questions by changing one detail from the model answers.
- QUESTIONS to be handed out to students with enough space provided for answers. Questions in bold are for Higher. Go throught the questions and elicit possible sentence starters and tenses that each question needs. Students can use the model answers from the Quizlet sheet (previous activity). Ideally, students would start from questions 1 and move down as they go. Higher Tier students would be able to move easily from question 1 to question 10, and ultimately students can be given the choice to complete only up to 6 or continue if they can.
- Work with someone different every time. They have 5 minutes overall to go through all questions for F twice (in pairs). F
- They can start asking the teacher, then pupils come forward and answer their partners’ questions as a class. Keep a tally of how many ‘correct? (grammar, pronunciation, vocab…) answers they can provide in 60 seconds. EXTRA POINT IF THEY ASK A QUESTION TO SOMEONE IN THE ROOM!
