Overview:
Shareholders pay considerable attention to the choice of executive selected as the new CEO whenever a change in leadership takes place. However, without an inside look at the leading candidates to assume the CEO role, it is difficult for shareholders to tell whether the board has made the correct choice. In this Closer Look, we examine CEO succession events among the largest 100 companies over a ten-year period to determine what happens to the executives who were not selected (i.e., the “succession losers”) and how they perform relative to those who were selected (the “succession winners”).
We ask:
• Are the executives selected for the CEO role really better than those passed over?
• What are the implications for understanding the labor market for executive talent?
• Are differences in performance due to operating conditions or quality of available talent?
• Are boards better at identifying CEO talent than other research generally suggests?

3. Figuras con eje de simetría
• Un eje de simetría de una figura plana es una línea recta que
parte la figura por la mitad, de forma que al doblar por él, las
dos mitades coinciden.
4. Los polígonos
• Un polígono es una figura plana limitada por segmentos de
recta.
• Los elementos de un polígono son: los lados, los ángulos, los
vértices y las diagonales.
• El perímetro de un polígono es la suma de las longitudes de
los lados.
5. Los polígonos
• Un polígono es regular cuando tiene todos sus lados y todos
sus ángulos iguales.
• El ángulo central de un polígono regular tiene el vértice en el
centro y su ángulo central mide 360 grados.
7. Los triángulos
• Según sus lados, los triángulos son: Equiláteros, isósceles y
escalenos.
• Según sus ángulos, los triángulos son: Acutángulos,
rectángulos y obtusángulos.
8. Los cuadriláteros
• PARALELOGRAMOS: tienen los lados paralelos dos a dos.
• Paralelogramos con lados iguales dos a dos, y ángulos
iguales dos a dos: Romboides.
• Paralelogramos con lados iguales dos a dos, y cuatro ángulos
iguales: rectángulos.
• Paralelogramos con cuatro lados iguales y sus ángulos
iguales dos a dos: Rombos.
• Paralelogramos con cuatro lados iguales y sus cuatro ángulos
iguales: Cuadrados.
9. Los cuadriláteros
• NO PARALELOGRAMOS: tienen un par o ningún par de lados
paralelos.
• NO Paralelogramos con dos lados paralelos: Trapecios.
• NO Paralelogramos sin lados paralelos: Trapezoides.
10. La circunferencia y el círculo
• Una circunferencia es una curva, cerrada y plana, que tiene
todos los puntos a la misma distancia de otro punto interior
llamado centro.
• Un círculo es una superficie plana limitada por una
circunferencia.
• La longitud de una circunferencia se calcula multiplicando el
diámetro por 3,14.
