Este documento describe las diferentes fases del manejo postoperatorio de un paciente. Incluye tres fases: la fase inmediata que dura de 12 a 72 horas, la fase intermedia que ocurre durante la hospitalización, y la fase de convalecencia cuando el paciente recibe el alta médica. En la fase inmediata se monitorean signos vitales y se controlan posibles complicaciones como sangrado. 15. • Es el periodo que sigue a la intervención quirúrgica y
que finaliza con la rehabilitación del paciente.
• Abarca habitualmente un lapso de 30 días después de la operación.
• Se divide en tres fases:
1. Inmediata o postanestésica
2. Intermedia (hospitalización )
3. Convaleciente. (alta medica)
16. • Fase de recuperación inmediata o posanestesica
• Inicia desde que el paciente es extubado (si se utilizo
anestesia general), y dura aproximadamente las
siguientes 12 a 72 horas, dependiendo del
procedimiento.

19. POSTOPERATORIO INMEDIATO:
MONITORIZACIÓN BÁSICA
• -Comprobar permeabilidad de la vía respiratoria.
• -Valoración del patrón respiratorio.
• -Evaluación del estado circulatorio.
• -Evaluación del estado neurológico.
• -Signos físicos específicos de vigilancia (edema, cianosis, arritmias,
presión compartimental, sangrado)
20. • Plan de líquidos.
• Registro de ingestas y excretas.
• Cuidados cardiorespiratorios (tubos, cánulas, oxigeno,
nebulización, ejercicios respiratorios, parámetros
ventilatorios, etc).
• Sonda naso gástrica.
• Cateterización de vejiga.
• Otras sondas y drenajes.

• Duración: agudo y

• Curso: continuo e

22. EXAMENES DE LABORATORIO
Durante las primeras 24 horas pedir:
• Hematocrito
• Hemoglobina
• Determinaciones de volumen circulante en sangre
• Exámenes de gabinete (como placa de tórax y
electrocardiograma)
