News for«Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras)» since January 2007 Daily, RepRisk systematically screens big data from a broad range of open
intelligence sources in 14 languages in order to identify, filter, analyze and
quantify ESG risks related to companies. Risk incidents are analyzed based
on the influence of the source and the source content, including the severity
(harshness) and novelty (newness) of the issues addressed.

incidents are only entered once into the database, unless the risk profile of the
incident changes - i.e. the incident is escalated to a more influential
source, appears again after six weeks, or additional issues emerge

Justine Sacco, PR executive fired over racist tweet, 'ashamed‘ Justine Sacco, former IAC employee (Match.com, and Dictionary.com), issues apology to 'millions of people living with the virus' after social media erupted A woman sacked as communications director of the New York-based internet empire InterActive Corp for having made a puerile tweet that linked Aids with race, has issued an apology to the “millions of people living with the virus”. Justine Sacco, the dismissed head of corporate communications for Barry Diller's company, issued a contrite statement on Sunday to the Star newspaper in South Africa where she has travelled to be with her family over the holiday season. It was during the 11-hour flight from London to Cape Town that she became the latest example of the power of Twitter to destroy those who cause offense through unthinking use of the social media site. Shortly before she boarded the flight on Friday she tweeted:
Going to Africa. Hope I don't get AIDS. Just kidding. I'm white! In her statement, the PR executive said that she was in “anguish knowing that my remarks have caused pain to so many people” in South Africa where she was born and where her father still lives. "Words cannot express how sorry I am, and how necessary it is for me to apologize to the people of South Africa, who I have offended due to a needless and careless tweet.” She added: “There is an AIDS crisis taking place in this country, that we read about in America, but do not live with or face on a continuous basis. Unfortunately, it is terribly easy to be cavalier about an epidemic that one has never witnessed firsthand.”
Back in January 2013, disgruntled employees at HMV turned to Twitter to report on mass sackings at the firm, hijacking an official account to describe a "mass execution of loyal employees who love the brand".
hmv%20tweets.jpg
Using one of HMV’s official Twitter accounts ‘HMV Tweets’, staff took to tweeting live from the retailers’ HR department as 60 employees were being sacked after the company fell into administration last month. "The world of eCommerce is tightly knit and well connected, so I hope people aren't tempted to inadvertently burn their bridges as they share their momentary misfortune. We are talking about one of the largest high street brands here. And whilst we were all fully aware that the organisation would likely be making a round of redundancies in the not too distant future, this Twitter faux pas has seriously put a black mark against its social media ethics and general know-how.
“It’s been noted that its senior marketing management are asking how to close down their own Twitter account; it shouldn’t be a question asked at that level. If they need it done then they should just do it. It’s clear that too many people along the chain have got hold of the Twitter account details and have exploited HMV’s vulnerable position. This has led to a brand new dilemma in which ultimately ends in them closing their Twitter account. Unhappy staff, unhappy customers and it all publicised over the internet, senior management there must be wondering - can get any worse right now?
“However, by shutting the account down now would make for a poor and ill-advised PR move. What people will appreciate now is honesty and transparency it’s just a shame that via their now former employees have provided a bit too much of the latter already.”
Law firm partner hits out at female lawyer after LinkedIn sexism row
Franklin Sinclair says Charlotte Proudman has ‘blacklisted’ herself by shaming senior lawyer over his LinkedIn message on her personal appearance A partner at one of the UK’s largest criminal law firms has stood by tweets saying he would not give work to a lawyer at the centre of a sexism row over a LinkedInmessage sent to her by a solicitor 30 years her senior.
Human rights lawyer Charlotte Proudman said she had been told she faced “career suicide” but did not regret her decision to make public a message from Alexander Carter-Silk that commented on her “stunning” photo. She took a screenshot of the message and posted it on Twitter, along with her terse reply, and the tweet went viral.
When Home Depot tweeted the image below to its 165,000 or so users last year, the US-based DIY store received hundreds of tweets accusing the chain of racism. Home Depot tried to calm the wrathful Twittersphere with a series of apology tweets: "We have zero tolerance for anything so stupid and offensive. Deeply sorry. We terminated agency and individual who posted it" but the image was retweeted thousands of times nonetheless
