◦ “To say that something exists”.
◦ La expresión there is y there are habla de la existencia de las cosas,
en español equivale a hay.
◦ Por ejemplo…
◦ There is an apple. Hay una manzana (singular)
◦ There are apples. Hay manzanas (plural)

◦ Te muestran dos imágenes there is a banana (singular) y there are apples (plural).
◦ Exercise 1: Look and write is or are. Observa las imágenes y completa las oraciones.
