Mindfulness - Atención Vigilante
1. MINDFULNESS – ATENCION VIGILANTE
Esas barrerasque llevamosdentrononosdejansernosotrosmismos,nonosdejanentregarnosde
No
no sabiendoexactamentecuándollegará.Esposible que nolleguemosa estar realmente vivos en
toda nuestra vida.
No te desanimes. Al
principiotupensamientodivagarámuchasveces.Cadavezque lohagasencillamente adviértelo y
vuelve aconcentrarte en la respiración. La función respiratoria, a la vez vegetativa involuntaria y
voluntaria, estáindisolublementeligadaalavidamental.Es expresiónde lacalidad de la mente. Y
observa.Día a día. Hora a hora. Toda lavida.

¿Cuándo aprenderé a meditar?
sitio, no descansaré nunca. Mi casa está aquí. Me encuentro a gusto en cualquier instante. Mi

5. MINDFULNESS
Be aware of what we are here and now, that the only
time to live is the present moment.
The very word "distraction" is distressing: dis-traction means literally throwing violently in
opposite directions, tearing, anddismemberment.Whenwe are distracted,we tearourselves, we
become pieces, let it be for a whole unit; we stop being who we are. Distracted means to stage
yesterday incomplete frames. And tomorrow project concerns on the screen today. In any case,
we splitinside and incapacitate us to live the fullness of life in the only time it can be lived, that
the here and now.
6. According to Gestalt therapy, man becomes neurotic when it loses contact with himself, with
others and with the here and now. Psychologists define the neurotic as "a person who is
interruptedherself,"andI'mafraidthat mostof uswe wonthe title without difficulty if that's the
definition.
These barriers within us will not let us be ourselves, let us not really deliver what we do and
respondwithall sharpnessof understandingandwarmthof feeling.Art eludes us so easy to close
our doorsand leave atrail open to continue banging in the wind and distracting us in our walk. If
you have been an unpleasant experience leaves behind a trail of unrest against yourself and
againstall whohave beeninvolvedinit;and,if it hasbeena pleasantexperience, let the desire to
prolong it, to repeat it, to remember it again and again, so that no longer gives us pleasure,
because it has happened, and not let us enjoy other pleasures, because the memory the past
overshadows the present reality. These barriers reduce our vitality and destroy spontaneity.
Go deep contact is an important practice. We contacted our hands, our eyes, our ears and our
vigilant attention. The first practice I learned was consciously inspire and exhale, come into
contact witheachbreaththrough my mindfulness, identifying the inspiration for inspiration and
expiration and expiration. When carrying out this practice the mind and body are aligned, the
wanderingthoughtsstopandisinthe bestof yourself.Whenitpenetratesdeeply at this time the
nature of realityisperceivedandthisunderstandingfreefromsufferingand confusion. Somehow
peace appears: the problem is whether we can get in touch with her. I would offer this short
exercise:
Inspiringcalmedmybody.
Exhalingsmile.
Dwellinginthe presentmoment,
I knowthisis a wonderful moment.
"Dwelling in the present moment." We recite this line to inspire again and not think about
anythingelse. We knowexactlywhere we are.Usuallywe say:"Waitfor the end of school and get
my degree inphilosophyandthenI'll be reallyalive."Butwhenwe have achieved, we say: "I have
to waituntil Ihave a jobto reallylive."Afterwork,we needacar, andbehindthe car, a house. We
are not able to live the present moment. Always we postpone being alive to the future, not
knowing exactly when it will arrive. You might not get to be really alive in our lifetime. The
technique, if we can speak of a technique, is to be in the present moment, to be aware of what
we are here and now, that the only time to live is the present moment.
7. Put yourself in a position where you can be comfortable for fifteen minutes. Close your eyes.
Gentlyfocusyourattentiononyourbreath. It is notto thinkaboutbreathing; tryto experience the
physical sensationof the airenteringandleavingyourbody.Nothingtodo, nowhere togo. Simply
become aware of the sensation of breathing. Feel the air travel, how goes through your nose,
downyourthroat, yourchest andabdomen. Experience the natural flow of airinand out. Without
tryingto control or change theirbreath, letitbe as itis,"the breathbreathe",withoutcomment. If
it's slow,it'sslow,if superficial,thatissuperficial,if itisfastor deep,itisrapidor deep.If thoughts
come, let them go kindly and refocuses attention on the breath. Let all other thoughts come in,
gently keeping the focus on the breath, in the smooth movement up and down. Do not be
discouraged. At first your thoughts often wander. Each time you do it again and please warn
simplyconcentrate onyourbreathing.Respiratoryfunction,involuntary and voluntary vegetative
time isinextricablylinkedtomental life.Itisanexpressionof the qualityof the mind.Andbecause
it interferes with the mind, it can become a great tool for rehabilitation of mind. In that
observation nothing it is rejected; I accept all the noise from the street, okay !.
Wait.Relax.Observe.Keepall thisinmind.Alwaysbe alert,alwaysawake.Donot lose contact. Do
not leave the scene.Trustinnature.How to live inthe present, tobe oneself, tofindreality, tolive
life,isalwaysaware.Observemyownthoughts,discoverthe rootsof my conditioning,the birthof
my prejudices,myfearsformation.Observe,discover,lift.Exposingeverythingthathappensinthe
darkness inside me. Output to the conscious everything that happens in secret subconscious
surface.Justknow,discover,bringtolight.Nothingpurposes,reformsormoral violence.Nature is
wise and grace is given to us to open ourselves to the simplicity of knowing where we are and
what we need. So, watch and observe. Day to day. Hourly. Lifetime. Who learns to observe
himself meets himself.
Attachmentstothingsandpeople are precipitating us to "enter" and hinder us "get out". He says
the word: be stuck. We do not move easily. We lose the flow of life, the momentum of the
movement, the slide gently for existence. The expectation of the happy event blurs everything
that precedes it with the changed approach is to come, and obscures everything that follows to
lookback makes more difficult the road ahead. So the interior detachment is the great power of
life thatenhanceseachsituationbynotsubordinate tothe other.Notthatthere isnot love, enjoy,
indulge inwhatyoudoand enjoywhatyoucan. On the contrary, we revive thisenhancestheirjoy.
But we mustdo so withoutcompulsion, withoutanxiety, without aggressiveness. Possessiveness
eventuallydestroyspossession. The fearof losingsomethinginthe future spoilsthe joy of owning
it in the present. One must know how to surrender to what we do, precisely so that there is no
resentment us have done when we were in it. Delivery with detachment and detachment with
delivery: this is the paradox efficient things well. I live squarely where I am at any time, which I
touch with my surroundings, I'm no stranger or guest nowhere, because the world is my home,
this time is my life, and the circumstances of life are skin of my soul. When I will achieve
liberation? When will I learn to meditate? When I will master my temper? When I will enjoy my
work?Whenwill Iget to understandthe meaning of life? When will I find out who I am?. That all
questions are answered precisely while remaining questions.
8. Search ends, not when the answer is to the question, but when the question disappears by
itself.I've come,Imeditate, I'm already this that is here now, and I feel that today is eternity. If I
do notfeel athome where I am, I do not find at home anywhere; and if I'm always anxious to get
somewhere,Ineverrest.Myhome is here.Ifeel comfortableatanymoment.My postal addressis
the piece of land occupied my feet. My phone number is the birds singing on the fly in my way.
Call me, and they will know where to find me. I'm friends with all the ways of the world.
This way of life can be characterized as a state of separation, a state of alienation from the only
life we have, since everything is done to comply with something outside himself. The fact is that
we have come to think wrongly that we have no alternative, as we are conditioned by time and
space, and continue to put the order in the future to get rid of this way of life so frantic, perhaps
waitingforthe momentthatwe retire and not have to work. When that time comes, what we do
islookback, wonderingwhatwe missedinall thattime. We live everydaypushedeitherthatideal
future of fullness, and by a glorious past that is gone. So, we just realize that every day we stand
outside of life, until the weight of all this can to the best of ourselves and experience a crisis or
depression, and that is when we question arises: " What is all this?". That way of life, always
motivatedbysomethingexternal, onimpulse afteranotherwithoutbeingable to enjoy some real
thing, explains our lack of inner peace and the feeling we have of nonsense and frustration,
besidesbeinginthe base of many neurosis and mental imbalances that today proliferate among
ourselves.
Spring is at your fingertips.
When you will blossom if not here and now?
