Antes de saber cómo llevar a cabo la suma de 3 fracciones o más con diferente denominador y con igual, resulta indispensable saber todo lo elemental respecto a los problemas de suma de fracciones. Lo primero que se debe saber, es que la suma de fracciones consiste en aplicar la propiedad de la adición a dos o más fracciones. Estas pueden ser fracciones con igual denominador, o fracciones con distinto denominador. Determinar esto es muy importante, ya que indicará el camino a seguir respecto para dar con una solución. En primer lugar, se encuentra la suma de fracciones cuando hay igual denominador. En estos casos, la operación de suma de fracciones se lleva a cabo de manera bastante sencilla. Simplemente se suman los numeradores de cada fracción involucrada en la operación. En cuanto al denominador común, éste se mantiene exactamente igual. Cuando las fracciones tienen diferente denominador tenemos en cuenta los siguientes pasos: 1. Sacamos el MCM de los denominadores. 2. Dividimos el MCM entre cada denominador 3. Multiplicamos los resultados por los numeradores correspondientes. 4. Realizamos la suma, en el denominador se coloca el MCM
