Este documento explica cómo formar mandatos formales en español. Se presentan las formas de los verbos en primera persona del singular presente para formar los mandatos afirmativos agregando la vocal opuesta y "n" para mandatos de ustedes. Los mandatos negativos se forman agregando "no" antes de la forma del mandato. También se discuten algunos verbos irregulares y las posiciones de los pronombres para mandatos.

1. “yo” form in present tense:
cantar = canto abrir = abro beber = bebo
2. Remove the “o” and add “opposite vowel”
(Add “n” also for the plural ustedes command)
-ar verbs = e(n)
-er/-ir verbs = a(n)
¡cante usted! or ¡canten ustedes!
¡abra usted! or ¡abran ustedes!
¡beba usted! or ¡beban ustedes!

Add “no” directly in front of command form.
¡no cante! or ¡no canten!
¡no abra! or ¡no abran!
