II. DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA ASIGNATURA
Conocer un idioma permite incrementar nuestro bagaje cultural, ampliar nuevos
horizontes, acceder a otras fuentes de información, obtener mejores puestos de
trabajo.
El curso de INGLÉS I está destinado a asegurar el dominio del Inglés tanto escrito como
oral conociendo su estructura y funcionamiento.
La asignatura de Inglés I es de naturaleza teórico-práctico, ya que permite que el
alumno pueda comunicarse desde un principio.
Inglés I tiene como objetivo general comprender y producir mensajes orales y escritos
a un nivel básico de inglés (Basic English level).
III. OBJETIVOS GENERALES
Al finalizar el semestre el alumno será capaz de:
1. Valorar la riqueza del idioma inglés como herramienta útil en su vida
cotidiana y para su carrera profesional.
2. Asumir un comportamiento práctico frente al uso del idioma inglés.
3. Desenvolverse en situaciones comunicativas a un nivel elemental de inglés,
comprensión oral y escrita.
4. Manejar un vocabulario básico

1. Expresar en forma oral y escrita acerca de si mismo.
2. Comprender textos orales y escritos acerca de sus amigos y sus
ocupaciones
3. Expresar en forma oral y escrita acerca de una oficina
4. Comprender textos orales y escritos acerca sus objetos favoritos
5. Expresar en forma oral y escrita acerca de su ciudad
6. Comprender textos orales y escritos acerca de una casa y oficina
7. Expresar en forma oral y escrita para dar información de un día especial o
unas vacaciones
8. Comprender textos orales y escritos acerca de los objetos que posee
V. METODOLOGÍA
El profesor hará la presentación introductoria del curso y del Sílabo
propiamente dicho. El profesor promoverá el diálogo constante con los
alumnos para ayudar a que fijen y profundicen mejor los conocimientos que
vayan adquiriendo.
En todo momento resaltará la importancia y necesidad de su participación
espontánea en el curso y que no sólo deben conocer, sino profundizar los
diferentes temas tratados.
Se combinarán los siguientes elementos:
- Desarrollo de proyectos de investigación acerca de temas relacionados al
curso de ofimática para ingenieros
- Investigación de vocabulario de ofimática para ingenieros.
- Exposición-diálogo
- Inducción, deducción, correlación, organización, clasificación y socialización.
- Ejercicios individuales, en pares y/o grupales de aplicación.
- Participación activa de los alumnos en intervenciones orales.
- Role play de diálogos utilizando diversas situaciones.
- Investigación de un tema específico para hacer un trabajo de su carrera
profesional en clase utilizando Internet.
- Asesorías.
VI. EVALUACIÓN
El reglamento vigente de la universidad exige la asistencia obligatoria a
clases; el 30% de inasistencias inhabilita al alumno a continuar en el curso,
colocando como promedio final: NSP.
El docente deberá tomar lista en cada clase que dicta registrando las
asistencias en el sistema que le proporciona la Universidad.
La modalidad de Evaluación será la siguiente:
La nota final se establecerá del promedio ponderado de:
NF = 30%EP + 30%EF + 40%PPT

Solamente se considerará el redondeo de decimales para la Nota Final
(N.F.).
