Este documento presenta tres temas principales sobre el cáncer: 1) los parámetros que pueden extraerse de imágenes médicas del cáncer como la relajación T2, el coeficiente de difusión aparente y la anisotropía; 2) la parametrización y modelización del crecimiento tumoral en el cerebro; y 3) posibles terapias futuras como la radioterapia con protones, la terapia con campos eléctricos y las nanopartículas para entrega dirigida de fármacos.
