Check speaker notes - The emerging field of Civic Technologies is connected with many hopes and promises: improve our cities by making local government more responsive and interactive, democratizing research and access to information, and introducing new forms of accountability. In my talk I will trace the different cultures, values and ideological underpinnings of civic technologies and critically evaluate the role of participation in these models.
My three-essay dissertation investigates recent practices of participatory infrastructure monitoring and their implications for the governance of urban infrastructure services. By introducing the concept of infrastructure legibility, the three essays of this dissertation explore ways to make waste systems and their governance more legible: its formal structure, its informal practices, interactions between the user and the provider, the individual and the system.

Part 2: Tacit arrangements – data reporting challenges for recycling cooperatives in Brazil
Part 3: Infrastructure Legibility – a comparative analysis of open311-based citizen feedback systems

The symposium explores the physical trace and its role for making sense of the world. We will investigate the different scientific, aesthetic, and rhetoric techniques for making traces “speak.”

Visualization is often exclusively treated as an affair between the eye and the mind, based on the idea that perceiving and thinking are forms of pattern recognition and computation. But patterns can be misleading, and visual languages play a much larger role in mediating our interactions, facilitating, and constraining our awareness of the systems we are embedded in. My work deals with the roles of visual representations for understanding and governing large urban systems. Using examples from remote sensing, waste systems, street lighting and others, I will discuss critical issues of working with data in the context of socio-technical systems.

6. IMPLICACIONES ACTUALES
Es importante para mi el manejo de la disciplina en los
niños en una temprana edad, pero el modelo es muy rígido ,
en la actualidad no se maneja estas teorías a un existencias
institucionales militares, y es muy importante para mi que
cada niño es un ser único y todos desde el vientre materno
nos educamos para makarenko todos eran iguales y
aprendían igual .

medio del material didáctico y
experiencias de la vida cotidiana reales
El niño desarrolla su pensamiento por
medio de la socialización y relación con
los demás niños realizando actividades

actividades puesto que el niño es una guía en
sus mismas actividades
El docente no imponía sus actividades
11. IMPLICACIONES ACTUALES
En algunas instituciones manejan aun
esta teoría de Decroly pero no completa,
seria muy bueno rescatar algunas técnicas
de enseñanza que el manejaba como toda
su metodología de juego confirmado que
el niño aprende mas utilizando materiales
didácticos apropiados a la edad, ,llevándolo
a tener claridad en sus conceptos
aprendidos.
