TYPES OF IDEOLOGIES
• Se puede hablar de cuatro tipos de ideologías con base en su finalidad. One can speak of four
types of ideologies based on their purpose.
• Ideologías reaccionarias son aquellas que persiguen y quieren recuperar algún tipo de sistema
social, económico o político pasado, o algunas de sus características. Fascismo. Nazismo.
• Reactionary ideologies are those that pursue and want to recover some kind of past social,
economic or political system, or some of its characteristics. Fascism. Nazism.
• Ideologías del statu quo: serán todas aquellas que defienden y racionalizan el orden económico
social y político existente en un momento dado. Revolución Francesa. Revolución Inglesa.
• Ideologies of the status quo: they will be all those that defend and rationalize the social and
political economic order existing at any given time. French Revolution. English Revolution.

• Ideologías revolucionarias: son aquellas que apoyan cambios cualitativos en el orden económico,
político y social. Revolución Rusa, Mexicana, Cubana, China.
• Revolutionary ideologies: these are those that support qualitative changes in the economic, political
and social order. Russian, Mexican, Cuban, Chinese Revolution.
• Ideologías reformistas: tiene como norte favorecer el cambio en el plano político, económico o
social. Perestroika Soviética. Reforma Agraria Peruana. En Costa Rica las reformas de Ricardo Jiménez
Oreamuno y Jorge Volio (INS) y (CNFL) y en los 40 s del siglo XX (Código Trabajo) (CCSS) (Capítulo de
las Garantías Sociales en la Constitución Política de 1949).
• Reformist ideologies: its north favors change at the political, economic or social level. Soviet
