2. ADVANTAGES OVER USING RECYCLABLE MATERIAL
VENTAJAS SOBRE EL USO DE MATERIAL RECICLABLE
Plástico y carton
Este tipo de materiales cuando no son
gestionados de la manera correcta, producen
problemas de contaminación del medio
ambiente, como emisión de gases de efecto
invernadero de forma ineficiente, plásticos en
los océanos.
Economía
Costo efectivo
Reducen los vertederos
Nueva vida util
Reducción de los combustibles fósiles
Plastic and paperboard or board
This type of materials when you are not
managed in the correct way, cause
environmental pollution problems, such as
inefficient greenhouse gas emissions,
plastics in the oceans.
Economy
Effective cost
Reduce landfills
New useful life
Reduction of fossil fuels
3. RECYCLING FOR CHILDREN

niños:
Permiten trabajar la importancia de
cuidar el medioambiente.
Los niños se entretienen haciendo esas
actividades.

Ayudan a desarrollar su imaginación,
creatividad y motricidad.
Recycling activities for children:
Allow working on the importance of
caring for the environment.
Children entertain themselves by doing
these activities.

At home
Help develop their imagination,
creativity and motor skills.
4. THE IMPORTANCE OF RECYCLING FOR CHILDREN
LA IMPORTANCIA DEL RECICLAJE PARA NIÑOS
Reciclar implica dejar de generar basura y
reutilizar
Recycling means to stop generating garbage
and reusing
Failure to recycle, reuse or reduce implies that it
would take years and even centuries to degrade.
It is a change of habit that we must make and
that we must teach children from an early age.
Talking to them about the importance of
recycling is essential to raise awareness.
Children must understand that:
Disposing plastic pollutes the environment, hurts
animals, and damages people in the long term.
5. TIPS FOR RECYCLING WITH CHILDREN
The concept of recycling can be difficult for
them to understand, especially if they are infant
or toddler kids.
It is important that they see it up close and
participate in recycling activities.
If we make it visible and fun, children will be
interested and learn fast.
6. LET'S HELP CHILDREN TO RECYCLE
materiales reciclados.
To make children understand the importance
of recycling you must:
Explain to them where the items they use
come from.
Teach your children that a material can have
a second life and become something new
and useful.
Show your children how they can recycle
materials by separating the trash.
Make crafts for children with recycled
materials.
7. MAKE THEM PARTICIPATE IN RECYCLING AT HOME OR IN THE LIVING ROOM
Teach them to separate what goes in one bucket and
another.
To learn to recognize the symbols of recycling.
It is ideal to show photos or videos of a landfill so that
children can see where the garbage generated goes
to.
Explain how certain things like batteries, computers,
televisions, and other electronic equipment are
recycled.
Teach them that certain things can't be recycled like
paint, chemicals, or aerosols.
Remember that if you teach them by playing, in
addition to being fun, they will learn it faster.
