Resultados confirman la tendencia hacia contracción de márgenes
de la empresa iniciada en 1T12 por mayores costos por compra de
energía. El margen EBIT en 1T13 descendió a 22.4% (-12pbs YoY).
Cabe señalar que en los últimos 19 trimestres previos al 1T12, el
margen EBIT fue superior a 24.0% (25.7% en promedio).
Estado de Ganancias y Pérdidas
La utilidad neta de Luz del Sur y subsidiarias ascendió a PEN 81.0m en
1T13 (+7.8% YoY), expandiéndose a mayor ritmo que los ingresos
durante el mismo periodo (+5.2% YoY), debido a los menores gastos
financieros; adicionalmente, el costo de ventas creció a una tasa similar
(+5.3%), como consecuencia de mayores compras de energía y un
ligero incremento en los costos a 0.1698 PEN/KW.h (+1.2% YoY)
sustentado en mayores indexadores de tarifa.
Los ingresos por ventas de la empresa en 1T13 subieron a PEN
544.0m (+5.2% YoY), en línea con las mayores ventas físicas de
energía (1,726 GWh en 1T13, +3.4% YoY), las cuales crecieron más
en el segmento clientes comerciales (+5.6% YoY); sin embargo, éstos
representan solo el 18.7% de las ventas de la empresa. Cabe señalar
que el precio promedio de la energía vendida creció a PEN 0.2999 por
kw.h (+1.2% YoY).
En cuanto al desempeño no operativo de Luz del Sur, los ingresos
financieros descendieron a PEN 3.3m (-6.0% YoY) debido a menores
intereses recibidos por depósitos bancarios, mientras que los gastos
financieros decrecieron a PEN 8.8m (-9.9% YoY) principalmente por
mayor capitalización de gastos financieros.
Balance General
El activo total creció en PEN 234.4m (+8.6% YoY) debido
principalmente al mayor nivel de activos fijos, los cuales aumentaron en
PEN 275.2m (+12.4% YoY) como consecuencia de las inversiones que
la empresa viene ejecutando para la construcción de la CH. Santa
Teresa (98 MW en 2015), su incursión en el segmento de generación.
Las cuentas financieras de corto plazo aumentaron en PEN 39.9M
(+47.0% YoY), mientras que las de largo plazo crecieron en PEN
116.3m (+20.0% YoY), lo que se sustenta en mayor emisión de deuda
para financiar inversiones. Por otro lado, el patrimonio creció en PEN
80.5m (+5.9% YoY), principalmente por mayores utilidades retenidas;
pese a ello, la mayor deuda ocasionó un ligero incremento en el
apalancamiento financiero a 0.57 (vs 0.49 en 1T12).
Valorización
Mantenemos nuestra perspectiva de Luz del Sur otorgándole un valor
fundamental de PEN 9.12 por acción, lo que implica un potencial de
apreciación (inc. div. yield: 4.9%) de -1.3% (vs. PEN 9.72 del 20 de
mayo de 2013), por lo que nuestra recomendación se ubicaría en
MANTENER.
Luz del Sur distribuye energía a clientes residenciales, comerciales e
industriales. Opera una zona de concesión de 3,000km2, la cual
incluye 30 de los 49 distritos en Lima, los cuales albergan a 4 millones
de personas.
Luz del Sur tiene tres subsidiarias: Edecañete (distribución eléctrica
con 900km2 de zona de concesión en el sur de Lima), Luz del Sur
Internacional A.V.V. (dirige las inversiones de LdS) e Inmobiliaria Luz
del Sur (bienes raíces). Proyectamos que las ventas subirían en 7.7% y
6.1% durante 2013 y 2014, respectivamente.
