36. ADJECTIVE AGREEMENT
• In Spanish nouns have gender. They
are either masculine or feminine.
When you want to describe a noun
using an adjective it is very important
to MATCH THE GENDER.
• If the noun is masculine, the adjective
must be masculine and viceversa.
37. ADJECTIVE AGREEMENT
• In spanish there are 2 types of adjectives
• Adjectives that end in O in the basic
form will change to A when the noun
they are describing is feminine
• Adjectives that end in -e –ista or a
consonant in their basic form do not
change whether the adjective is
masculine or feminine
38. ADJECTIVE AGREEMENT
• If the noun is plural then the adjective
must be plural.
• If the adjective ends in a vowel you
just add -s
• If the adjective ends in a consonant
you add –es
