Domino’s understands the personal connection customers have with smartphones that they tend to lack with computers. The smartphone is a more intimate, emotional device, and sometimes lust for pizza is an influential emotion. This innovation has won as much public relations value as anything else, having attracted a lot of press coverage. But ideas like this make customers curious. They draw customers closer. They give Domino’s more persistent dynamic presence.
