1. Ecuaciones diferenciales homogéneas Existen algunas ecuaciones diferenciales que al hacer un cambio de variable adecuado se reducen a ecuaciones en variables separadas. La ecuación diferencial M( x, y) dx + N (x, y) dy = 0 es homogénea sí M y N sonfunciones homogéneas del mismo grado. Definición de función Homogénea Sea la función Z = ƒ(x,y), se dice que es homogénea de grado "n" si se verifica que f( tx, ty)= tⁿf( x, y) ; siendo "n” un número real. En muchos casos se puede identificar el grado de homogeneidad de la función, analizando el grado de cada término:
2. Ejemplos: f( x ,y) = x² y² + 5x³ y - y4 aplicando la definición se tiene: f( tx, ty) = (tx)² ( ty)² + 5 (tx)³ (ty) - ( ty )4 f( tx, ty) = t4 x² y² + 5 t4 x³ y - t4 y4 f(tx, ty ) = t4 (x2 y2 + 5x3 y - y4 ) f( tx, ty) = t4 f ( x, y) Por lo tanto la función es homogénea de grado 4
3. b) f( tx, ty) = t0 f(x,y) Entonces la ƒ(x ,y) es Homogénea de grado 0 c) f ( x, y) = 5xy + 3x No es una función homogénea ya que: f (tx, ty) = 5 ( tx, ty) + 3 tx f (tx, ty) = 5 t2xy + 3 tx f ( tx, ty)= t( 5 t xy + 3x ) ≠ tn ( 5 xy + 3x) f ( tx, ty) ≠ tn f(x,y) Si se determina que en la ecuación M ( x, y )dx + N (x, y) dy = 0; M y N son funciones homogéneas del mismo grado
4. Ejemplo 1 x y² y' = x³ + y³ reescribiendo la ecuación se tiene: x y² dy = ( x³ + y³) dx transponiendo los términos se tiene: ( x³ + y³ ) dx - x y² dy = 0 donde M = ( x³ + y³) y N = - x y² M y N son funciones homogéneas de grado 3 Probando: Sea M = ƒ( x , y) entonces: ƒ( tx , ty) = ( tx) ³ + (ty)³ ƒ( tx , ty) = t³ x³ + t³ y³ ƒ( tx , ty) = t ³ ( x³ + y ³) ƒ( tx , ty) = t³ ƒ ( x , y) visto de otra manera ƒ ( x , y) = x³ + y³, ambos términos de la ecuación son de grado 3 por lo tanto ƒ(x ,y) es homogénea de grado 3
