Este documento describe una asignatura estatal en Morelos, México enfocada en promover una cultura ambiental sustentable. La asignatura fomenta la participación activa de estudiantes y docentes a través de proyectos comunitarios que abordan problemas ambientales locales. El enfoque didáctico incluye el desarrollo de habilidades críticas, de pensamiento y de solución de problemas relacionados con el medio ambiente.

• Comprensión de la relación entre la sociedad y la naturaleza para
favorecer el desarrollo sustentable. En esta asignatura estatal se
pretende que los estudiantes comprendan las interacciones entre la
naturaleza, sociedad, factores económicos, políticos y culturales. De tal
manera que los alumnos sean capaces de reconocer que son parte del
ambiente, pongan en práctica acciones encaminadas a favorecer el
desarrollo sustentable del lugar donde viven y contribuyan al mejoramiento
de las condiciones ambientales de su entorno, a partir de proponer y
aplicar posibles soluciones que ayuden a cuidar su ambiente.
