3. Staphylococcus aureus
Generous: staphylococcus
Specie: Aureus
Characteristics:
• Principal agent of hospital infections but were also
described outside hospitals
• Is a pathogenic agent that cause infections of skin and
soft tissue infections, endocarditic, CNS infections and in
the genitourinary tract.
• Is gram positive
• one of the most heat resistant bacteria and salinity
• lives on the skin, skin glands and mucous membranes of
warm-blooded animals
• in 1992 considered the most frequent pathogen in
nosocomial infection and mortality associated with
infection
4. • The staphylococcal food poisoning (SFP) occurs after ingestion of
foods that are contaminated with Staphylococcus aureus.
• People can put the colonies of S. aureus in the food chain with
contant with animal meat, dairy products and salads.
• In Europe most of the MRSA belonged to CC398 and lack factor to
transcribe PVL and staphylococcal enterotoxins causing low
virulence.
5. Methicillin
• Methicillin is a beta-lactam antibiotic used to
treat infections such as Gram positive agents
producing beta-lactamase
• The walls of bacteria contain a lines crossed
between peptidoglycan chains links, methicillin
acts by inhibiting the synthesis of this wall by
competitive inhibition of transpeptidase enzyme
to avoid the formation of these crosslinks
6. Resistence
• Methicillin in 1959 (a semi-synthetic penicillin) was used as an
antimicrobial treatment and in 1961 the first case of resistance was
reported.
• staphylococcus has 3 methods of methicillin resistance:
hyperproduction of beta-lactamase, modification of PBPs and
intrinsic resistance to methicillin.
• Beta-lactamase is an enzyme that breaks the beta-lactam ring of
antibiotics
7. Panton-Valentine leukocidin
(PVL)
• Is one of the major exotoxins of the
staphylococcus aure, its creates pores in the
membranes of infected cells
• PVL is associated with increased virulence of
certain strains of Staphylococcus aureus.
• Is the cause of necrotic lesions involving the
skin or mucosa
8. MRSA
• Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus is a
serious problem, since it is difficult to combat
and easy to acquire. MRSA has the ability to
offer resistance against the antibiotic causing
serious disease.
• Is a matter of concern the MRSA associated to
livestock (LA-MRSA) that affects people that is
related to pigs, poultry, cattle like vets and
farmers, because they are colonized..
9. GENERAL OBJETIVE
The purpose is the detection of MRSA non-CC398
in wild boar meat that encode the PVL. Showing
the probability to obtain diseases with more
severity
11. Aislamiento
cloranfenicol , ciprofloxacina, clindamicina,
eritromicina, fusidato, gentamicina, kanamicina,
linezolid, mupirocina, penicilina, quinupristina /
dalfopristina, rifampicina, estreptomicina,
sulfametoxazol, tetraciclina, tiamulina, trimetoprim
y vancomicina.
virulencia
20.
21. • a la kanamicina (tres aislamientos), ciprofloxacina (seis
aislamientos), eritromicina (tres aislamientos),

26. • The result of the investigation with respect to others shows
that if there are patterns that are similar but yet the results
still vary from place to place, showing some environmental
and social factor.
• Is essential the proper handling of meat from the time the
animals are killed until they are put in the kitchen,
interruption in any point in the food chain, produce the
introduction the staphylococcus.
• All new techniques for bacterial differentiation make it more
possible the identification of the different types of resistance
in bacteria and give the opportunity to change treatment in
patients to one more efficient.
• the staphylococci is a major public health problem especially
in the hospitals, is real obligation keep clean and properly
sanitized hospitals to prevent the spread of this highly
infectious bacterial agent, which increasingly shows that can
go a little beyond us.
