Laccase-catalyzed chitosan–gallic
4. General objetive
➔ Determinate the Antibacterial activity and
mechanism of a laccase-catalyzed chitosan–gallic T
acid derivative against Escherichia coli and
Staphylococcus aureus.
5. Materiales y métodos
Ensayo de MTT
➔ La citotoxicidad de la célula de CTS-GA
Fundamento
10. Results
➔ A mayor concentración, no
hay bacterias.
➔ Green: bacterias vivas y
muertas
➔ Yellow: daño en las
membranas celulares
➔ Red: células muertas
Tinción con AO y PI fluorecencia
Microscopia de escaneo laser confocal
11. Results
➔ CTS–GA: quitosan
injertado en acido
gálico
➔ CTS: quitosan
12. Results
➔ Cuadro 1: bandas claras y
brillantes por el ADN que no fue
tratado.
➔ Cuadro 2: desaparición de
bandas que fueron tratadas con
CTS–GA
➔ Destrucción por parte de los
bacterianos
Fragmentación del ADN
13. Discusión
Author What he say? It was fullfiged or not?
Ramos, et all. This conclusion may be rationalized
by the characteristic differences in
the outer membrane between Gram-
positive and Gram-negative
bacteria.
Yes
Nazzaro, et all, (2011)
Simultaneously, CTS–GA entered
the bacterial cell through the
impaired cell membrane. This
compound then inhibited the
synthesis of DNA and eventually led
to apoptosis
Yes
Rabea, et all (2003) Reported that the antibacterial
mechanism of CTS and its
derivatives was dominated by the
interaction between positively
charged CTS groups and negatively
charged molecules on the microbial
membrane.
Yes
14. Conclusions
1. This study can helps in public health, as a way of primary
prevention and promotion of health. Usefull to teach to the
vulnerable communities the use of this antibacterials, taking
control of contagious disease diffusion.
1. It can motivate cientifics to find new discoveries of antibacterial
mechanisms that could be more efficient and innovating from
inusual biocomponents like plants.
