DEFINICI ´ON
Un sistema de ecuaciones diferenciales ordinarias de primer orden que
contenga n variables dependientes x1, x2,..., xn se dice que es lineal si se
puede escibir de la forma.

En el caso en que fi(t) = 0 para i = 1, 2, ..., n entonces se dice que le sistema
es homog´eneo; de lo contrario se dice que es un sistema no homog´eneo.
EJEMPLO
El siguiente es un sistema lineal de 3 ecuaciones diferenciales con 3
incognitas (sistema 3x3).
x1 = 3x1 − 3x2 + x3 + 2t
x2 = 2x1 − 2x2 + e−3t
x3 = x1 − x2 + x3
Dado que los coeficientes de cada variable son constantes, se dice que es un
sistema lineal con coeficientes constantes no homog´eneo.

REPRESENTACI ´ON MATRICIAL
El sistema de ecuaciones diferenciales se puede representar de matricialmente
de la forma X = AX + F. donde X, A y F son las matrices:

SOLUCI ´ON DE UN SISTEMA DE EDO
Una soluci´on a un sistema de ecuaci´ones diferenciales es un vector

cuyas componentes son funciones derivables que satisfacen las condiciones
del sistema en un intervalo dado.
PRINCIPIO DE SUPERPOSICI ´ON
Sea X1, X2,...,Xk un conjunto de vectores soluci´on de un sistema de EDO
homog´eneo en un intervalo I. Entonces la combinaci´on lineal
X = c1X1 + c2X2+, ..., +ckXk
donde c1, c2,...,ck son constantes arbitrarias, es tambi´en una soluci´on del
sistema.
